Good luck to anyone doing the cov half tomorrow , my 3 nephews are doing the Manchester marathon tomorrow
Good luck for tomorrow! @Ccfcisparks too. Looks to be pretty perfect weather, no rain and cool temps. You go past the end of my road just after 21 miles so I'll probably be camped out there in a city shirtFour days till Manchester, unsure if my knee is going to hold out for 26 miles.
Only one way to find out![]()
Good luck all. I am in Newport tonight ahead of the marathon tomorrow, and it might just be the roughest town I've ever stayed in.Good luck @PVA and @Ccfcisparks
Thanks guys. feeling the nerves now but all set for a good day! all the best @PVA
Amazing mate, ive never been physically capable of the distance so I think its an unbelievable achievement.Clocked in 4:03. So proud of myself but never again lol!

don’t tempt me…Amazing mate, ive never been physically capable of the distance so I think its an unbelievable achievement.
Careful with the never again though, we all know you'll do another with sub 4 being the aim.
I did 2.04 for my first half and had to do another.
thank you mate. Ipswich dropping points compounded the happinessFantastic achievement mate well done![]()
Well done mate a fantastic time.3.49
Was flying till 35km and on for something in the late 3.30s, but got absolutely excruciating cramp in every muscle in both legs!
I've been injured since late Feb, my longest run since then has been a 20k so I came in massively under cooked. Still pleased though for a first marathon and given my injury problems.
Well done @Ccfcisparks !
Thank you mate, and to you too!Well done @PVA @Ccfcisparks great running
I did 3.09.52 at a very warm Newport marathon today. Went out hard, did the first half in 1.28 then tried to cling on from 18 miles onwards. Went through 20 miles just on 3 hour pace but knew I was cooked. Took walking breaks in each of the last 6 miles to get me home.
Happy enough with my 2nd fastest marathon time and a nice way to say goodbye to the longer distances....its 5 and 10ks all the way for me now!

i must say i thought the people of manchester were absolutely wickedWell played lads! Awesome times all round.
I did my bit, walked 100 yards to the end of my road and clapped long enough for my watch to think I've done 15k steps today. Big sense of FOMO though...
I was blown away last year, glad you had a great time!i must say i thought the people of manchester were absolutely wicked

You got it mateCongrats @PVA and @CcfcisparksAfter Wrexham I will start training for my first marathon in November.
Does everyone have to run it again next week to get it right?Cov Half-Marathon was 512 metres too long. Apparently.
