Me too, and your Scandinavians come across as clever blokes as well. Perhaps he'd do a good job?

Sandie Robertson has been doing his UEFA coaching badges and won the Luxemborg League with F91 Dudelange, who have won it 6 out of past 7 years.

His backroom staff consists of other former players, Tony Sherian and Willie Boland.

His dad bought Les Shephards on Broad Lane in Coventry, so he still has connections in the area.

He also has a stake in Whitehouse Dog Kennels in Berkswell.

His younger sister lives with a bloke who delivers milk to one of the DJ's who used to work at Mercia, before it chnaged name.

It could be him ?

Managerial career

[edit]Coventry City
Coventry City were relegated from the Premier League in May 2001,[5] and following a poor start to their first season in Division One, Gordon Strachan resigned from the club.[6] Nilsson was brought in as a player-caretaker manager, despite having no managerial experience, in place of Strachan.[7] Following a number of wins in his caretaker role, Nilsson was given the manager's job on a permanent basis,[8] and the club briefly topped Division One after the turn of the new year. However, Coventry City failed to live up to this early promise and the team were dogged by inconsistency for most of the season. As the Coventry fans became increasingly frustrated, Nilsson announced his retirement from playing, in order to focus on managing the club.[9] This was not to prove successful, and, with Coventry out of the play-off chase, Nilsson was sacked in April 2002.[10] He was replaced a week later by former team-mate Gary McAllister.[11]
[edit]GAIS
After leaving Coventry, Nilsson briefly worked as a youth team coach at Helsingborg, before he was appointed GAIS manager on 18 December 2003.[12] The club was promoted to Allsvenskan in 2005 for the first time in six years, after beating Landskrona BoIS 2–1 on aggregate in the promotion/relegation play-off.[13]
[edit]Malmö FF
On 10 October 2007, Malmö FF announced that Nilsson had signed a four-year contract as manager, replacing Sören Åkeby.[14] This proved to be a controversial move, since Malmö are the main rivals of Helsingborg and IFK Göteborg, two of Nilsson's former clubs. He enjoyed little success during his first two seasons at Malmö FF, and his side finished in mid-table positions in both 2008 and 2009. In 2010, however, he finally managed to create a winning team from the squad left by Åkeby, and the team enjoyed top league positions throughout the season finally winning the league. Nilsson managed the club for the last time in a Svenska Cupen fixture, which Malmö FF won 3–0 against Halmstad BK at Örjans Vall, Halmstad.
[edit]F.C. Copenhagen
After a long period of rumors it was announced on 1 April 2011, Nilsson would take over as manager in F.C. Copenhagen after Ståle Solbakken.[2] Nilsson joined the club on 1 June 2011.[3] On 9 January 2012, just six months after his recruitment, despite leading the Danish Superliga at the time, he was sacked and replaced by the sporting director Carsten V. Jensen.[15]

I don't believe this rumour, we are interviewing 9 managers, not two.

Of course, but 9 isn't really a short list, so why would they interview that many if there was only two serious candidates being considered.

Wouldn't make sense.

I think his performances often brought about a very similar appraisal of the player

What about David Icke?

Doesn't he believe in an evil reptilian bloodline that rules the world?

Should give him a working appreciation of SISU...

Obviously.

A 9 manager list is quite a long list, so why would they make it that long if there is only 2 serious candidates being considered.
Dosen't stack up for me.

I think we will give all 9 a couple of weeks each and then make a decision next season to keep Richard Shaw

It lacks credibility. Why say 9 of only 2? They have been criticised for having such a long short list!

They did have 65 applications, if they compared against specific criteria and 9 met that criteria, it's only right and proper that they are all considered and interviewed

Am I the only one who wouldn't want Dublin here based on the fact that he refused to play for his to force through a move to our biggest local rivals (at the time...whether it was reciprocated was neither here nor there)???

No you are not. Although we've already had a huge thread on the subject of Dublin this season and whether he can be classed as a "legend" being someone who refused to pull on the shirt.

Apologies...didn't see it.

I can't deny his goalscoring record for us. Fantastic...what we would do for someone with his goalscoring abilities right now. Just left a sour taste for me.

Yeah, when he's got a player who wants away, that player could easily throw his example in his face!

We could no worse than hiring Chris Coleman once he is fired tonight...

Great defensive display from Wales.
