Talk filtering out of the City camp is that there are 2 serious candidates being considered, both ex-players one has been a manager, one hasn't and Shaw isn't one of them. There's a number of ex-City who have been a manager rumoured to be interested but who could the other be if true. Although interviewing Phil Brown sort of refutes that, i suppose all on the shortlist will get interviewed.

I would love Dion as he is one of my favorite players... But it could ruin him for me if he does a shit job

I have mentioned Dublin a couple of times, obviously isn't the "experienced" one everyone is clamouring for but he has something about him that makes me think if we went for a new to management man he would be okay. Jimmy Hill was a novice and a repeat of him would do me. We are almost in an identicle position to when Hill came in 50 years ago.

News filtering out, what a crock.

I can just see them walking out the room after the interview and immediately telling the window cleaner.

Has been on here before regards 2 ex-city being favourites for the job or was it GMK ? News, rumours, speculation will leak out as you have seen with Phil Brown today.

Not Peter Bodak and Tommy English...ok is it Sam Allardyce and Raddy Avramovich?

IIRC, when AB got the job, it was a 3-2 decision by the board...the 2 was Dion.
I heard that too. Would be a cheaper option than most and maybe Richard Shaw was always going to DD's number 2. Would answer the mystery as to why Shaw was recruited to the coaching staff when it was bloody obvious Thorn was on very thin ice.

I like Dublin and always thought he would make a good manager.
Not the right time for us though. To take the gamble I think

id be happy to let dion have a go as hes a winner , but i think hes busy with his "dube" at the moment plus the fact everytime hes come back hes got grief from a lot of city fans means i cant see him being a realistic candidate :pimp:

Dublin did half time analysis of England v Sweden on stage at the Assembly in Leamington during the Euros.

He said nothing insightful and didn't come across as a big thinker.

It definitely ain't dion as I've spoke to him. He's too busy promoting music at the moment

Why would people think Dion would be a good option when he has zero experience?! Madness. He's a legend, and I'd rather keep him that way I think.
