I registered for twitter but found it a bit lame to be fair. So I am on it, but I don't use it.
The things that are posted on here about comments on twitter sounded a bit childish from both Simon and the CCFC head of comms. However it's hard for me to say exactly without reading it all in context.
Same with Facebook I am not on any of these Facebook pages.

Here is our very own Bob Woodward liaising with a former player - what do you think?

Telegraph have been banned from Ryton

Looks childish to me, like some of the type of stuff that goes on in here.
However this certainly seems like the sort of thing I am talking about where the person gets drags into personal tat for tat with someone as oppose to us getting to take the opportunity to ask them poignant questions. A bit like forums with Tim Fisher.
Childish stuff between normal posters on here is part and parcel. When it's done with the likes of Simon or PWKH or Linnell then people are missing a trick.

I'm not sure why you thing SG is privy to some sort of inner sanctum with access to confidential information, half the time his stories are lifted directly from this forum.

The other a day a rumour appeared on here. He spoke to people involved and then told us it wasn't true.
As a journalist he has some connections

he got a denial Don, what did you expect them to say?
In principal I agree to some extent with what you are saying but I just don't think Simon can really enlighten anyone to the degree you think.
And to be honest, some information shouldn't be shared via social media/the internet.

Did he bollocks. He didn't even know about the rumour at first or when the pictures were taken.

I don't know either. All I remember is the story was broken by the telegraph (the national paper) and the only thing run in the local telegraph was a small story about 'no further action' or something. It seems for too coincidental that such a positive slant would be put on a story that could negatively affect local public opinion on a major advertising partner.
This one..
Wasps: "No further action required" after debauchery claims

He didn't speak to the people involved to see if it was true or not?
Are you sure?

There would be more chance of him speaking to the ghost of Dion Dublins dog - the dogs ghost probably has more scoops than "Bob"

While I'd love him to be able to chat civially here and be treated like any other city fan, I'll be amazed if those connections and beans are spilt on SBT before appearing via the CT or a book. Again, can't knock the chap, he's a job to do and bills to pay.

Nice of gutter-press Gilbert to surface, what a guy.

I agree though, this thread has been hilarious; it's helped me chuckle through 2 nights of insomnia, cheers guys.

The key is he got to speak to them. The denial maybe a lie by them. However it I am glad someone has asked them and their response is on here.
I would rather have that chance to hear it and make my mind up on it.

The only worthwhile "name" who has ever been on here is Stuart Linnell who answered questions despite receiving quite a bit of abuse.

Only PLC's are obligated not to mislead the market if asked a direct question by a journalist on potential takeovers.

These are 2 private funds and have no obligation to reveal anything, in fact they will almost certainly have signed an NDA preventing them from doing so.

Gilbert's report in reality has zero value in this instance.

Man this thread has shown a few people up as angry little conspiracy theorists.

There's one post on here you'd dismiss as such but I've heard said by two former directors of the club but in a far more agricultural style.
