Win 5-0 and we go ahead of them in terms of goal difference.

Woke up this morning with my heart beating faster than normal, never been this excited or nervous about a game before. 6 points between now and Sunday and I cannot see anything stopping us winning the league. It's been by far the best season whilst I've been alive in my 36 years.

Probably 1000 tickets before they have to open the Tilton Road end
Would expect that would be needed with the walk up
Should be 9000+ tonight

The only genuine (after Christmas) first v second game involving us that I can remember and attended was the famous game against Wolves in 1967. They were top, we were second and both teams had already achieved promotion. Well over 50k were in Highfield Road. (the official attendance was wrong as gates were broken down by those locked out).
Wolves lead 1-0 at half time but City scored three in the second half and went in to be Champions.
What a shame that a game like tonight’s can’t be played in our own city. Whatever, it should be a great night, a great atmosphere and a repeat of that result against Wolves would do nicely. Because this game still has 3 points towards promotion riding on it, it is a more important game than that one 53 years ago.
Like everyone,I am nervous and fear the let down we have all experienced far too often. But, when you look at the way we have played this season, the way we have controlled games, looking at it logically, we have nothing to fear.
Unfortunately, I am still not convincing myself. Come on City!

Will be leaving London around 5. Hope the M1 is clear.

Just left a meeting to go on SBT cause I cannot concentrate.

Get the flares and Stone Island lads.

Interesting choice of Ref for tonight. Someone who has only officiated 4 League 1 games this season.

Oh so that Rotherham mention of 5 loses a bit of weight when in context Blackpool got &4.
A tad underqualified possibly.

Was only promoted from National League this season. Hopefully that means he's a decent ref on his way up.

One terrible clearance at rochdale. However for 15 games they’ve been so good

Was meant to be at Rochdale and this game but an unplanned hospital visit on Friday has ruled me out of both so to say I'm frustrated is an understatement. Bed-bound so not much I can do to distract myself (hence I've been pretty quickfire with lots of stats over the last couple of days!)

About as nervous as I was for the Portsmouth game tbh. Will by no means be easy but Rotherham aren't on that winning run and haven't won any away games vs the top 6 so far. Normally I'd say "well it's typical City to end that run for them" but fuck it, we're a different beast this season. As long as we don't overplay at the back or give away stupid free kicks we'll be right up there with them. Heart says 1-0, head says 1-1.

Just looked online to see what that means. Can't work out if the first line in the "Training" section on Wikipedia is a deliberate typo or not...

"Anyone over the age of 14 who is reasonably fit and doesn't have eyesight can train to be a referee"

Players wont be nervous in the slightest.

They will be pumped up to feck for this.

We finally have a team with a winning mentality, losing wont be entering their heads.

Us fans on the other hand.....

It absolutely has the big game feel today, and so it should - way bigger than Birmingham for us (SBT users). Unfortunately not for the casuals, but that doesn’t matter. Tonight we need positivity from the stands.

I’m not feeling the nerves yet, only excitement. So much so, I’m working from home so I can get an earlier train and be over in Birmingham a few hours earlier than usual.

I can already taste that first ale and feel the excitement building.

Still confident of a dominant victory.

Ticket sales look really good. Upper tier is sold out apart from block T18 in the corner.
Lower tier in total i reckon has about 200 left.
UNLESS they don't sell tickets online for the cash on the night blocks?
