Have you heard/seen something or are you just having a guess? If McCallum goes, it wouldn't surprise me if we brought someone else in even if it's just a loan.

TBF I think the only reason he is playing is that Robins thinks he is the best man for the job. Don't think there was ever any ulterior motive. The fact premier league teams are looking at him suggests Robins is probably right.

If city could hang in there another 24 hours I’m sure one of the big clubs will gazomp this Norwich bid.

That limits us being able to do much with the money though, whether that be a loan or permanent.

Mason was doing ok Robins let’s players keep the shirt when their doing well dropping mason for McCallum was against how he normally works.

Why thank you for taking the effort.

I am still not sure on him he has improved massively this season but I still think he has a massive amount of work to do and will he get that in Norwich’s reserves? I would not want him back on loan that rarely works

Will I be sad to see him go not really and not at that kind of money when we have a player who can cover comfortably in Mason.

McCallum worth 50% more than Bayliss. Who'd have thought that last August?
Right, who else can we promote into the first team, in order to flog them off. Time for Bremang up front?

I always said he has more potential than Bayliss,McCallum will play premiership football I doubt bayliss will my opinion only of course I also said his potential was on the same level as Maddison.

I'll wait and see what the deal is. Wouldn't surprise me if it ended up £500k up front, and £2.5mil when he scores the winning goal in the intergalactic cup final, on the planet Zog.

Bayliss had a pretty poor season last year. Realistically at the time I don't think we could warrant asking for anything more than what we received for him.

All these people saying it rarely works if they come back on loan - is this just based on a sample size of one or can people actually name any others apart from Maddison?

Alli helped get MK Don's promoted when he went back on loan.

Some people on here just jump to wild conclusions without any real justification. The way Maddison has gone with his £6k bags and properly up his own backside, it was perhaps not surprising he didn't work out coming back, they are two different people so you cannot make any conclusion based on what happened there.

No it was most likely put out by his agent and as usual in this scenario they end up at a much smaller club

He was being scouted by a lot of teams, but that doesn't mean they were going to make an offer. Most were probably just doing due diligence like they would with a lot of young prospects.

Great piece of business if true. Mason more than capable replacement. We don’t desperately need anyone so nice bonus if we can line someone up otherwise that’s St Andrews paid for.

I just think we are shooting ourselves in the foot. I'm not saying the proposed figure is bad, not at all, but I just think we would/could get so much more in the summer.

Get promoted which is a real possibility, then we are a championship team, with a very real possibility of playing Norwich. In that position 6 months down the line I think we could get more for him. And if no one stumps up then he plays in the championship with us and 1 good season there and much bigger clubs than norwich could be interested and we can be the team selling for a lot more money.

Otherwise I can see us and Norwich in the championship next year, he plays well and we see him get sold on in a year or 2 for mega bucks and we would be wishing we had waited until the summer to see where we are at.

Even if we are still in league 1, he isnt going to be sold for any less than what he could be sold for now.
Just think if we waited we could reap a bigger reward.

We have to accept that we are a selling clubs....same as most teams in this division.
Looks like Oxford are losing their best 2 midfielders to Brentford for £3m combined....makes our deal look very good.
