Top 6 (predicting a 5th place finish) and promotion via the playoffs.

Robins has actually done nearly three seasons in two stints with us. All have been to some extent good
First stint - loads of goals and shot up the table
Second stint - year 1 (part) - Cup win, year 2 - promotion, year 3 - close to play offs.

Therefore he is due a dud. Lots of changes in every part of the team means it is a bit of a lottery. Last season we won a lot of games by the odd goal, which could have easily gone the other way. There is often a fall back, the second season after promotion.

So I am going for really boring mid-table, with a few relegation scares during the season.

Top 3 all season.

The second we drop outside that: Taxi for Robins

Not nearly hysterical enough. Top all season and if we’re not 10 points clear by Xmas then taxi for Robins. If you’re going to do it right you need to get hysterical before Robins has had the chance to succeed.

We kick off in sisu stadium before christmas with Joy's statue next to Jimmy.
MR turns down the chance to be Pep's assistant so Pep comes to be Robins' assistant.
20 goals, 20 goals Bakayoko.
Bright wants to play in the Europa league but come to us so Wolves sell him to us with their Europa league place.
The new kit doesn't make me look fat.
Wasps go back to London.
The council are all sent to prison.
Sisu finally sell to Overson and his billionaire mate.

I’d like to see some steady form instead of the rollercoaster form we had last season and hopefully cement ourselves in the playoffs of the back of it.

This. Even if we finish 8th again I'd like to see us picking up points more consistently rather than winning 5 on the spin then losing 5 on the spin etc.

Still a lot of unknowns; who are the two Robins is after?
Thomas, sterling, Willis and Bright big losses to the team. Can McFazdean successfully replace Willis? He won’t have the speed but may be more able to distribute from the back.
Burge was a decent enough keeper at this level but not really one you trusted for a sustained promotion push. Hopefully new keeper will be an improvement.
Will the two new wingers replace Thomas; May be more effective finishers but will they have his energy to track back. Where will Hiwula play if the the two new wingers start? Does this mean Jones will be moved on if and when fit?
Will Dabo be more consistent than sterling; will he be able to cross the ball effectively? I think he will be more streetwise and better defensively.
Surely a combination of biamou, Chaplin and bakayoko has to score more goals than they did last season. If not then we are again going to miss out on top 6.
Baylis disappointed last season; will he now kick on and be our creative force or will he sold? If he is where will are creativity come from? Hopefully Bright will return and become a club legend. Come on Wolves £600k...please pocket it.
Allen looks a good addition and alongside a fit (hopefully for a full season) Kelly should provide a decent platform.

At this stage, as usual, heart says we are looking good for top two finish. Head says, with the off-field activity and St. Andrews, a top half will be decent; but with Bright and the right striker then anything possible.

Still a question mark over whos going to score us enough goals. Play offs is the bare minimum we should expect, if we can sign someone to get 25+ goals then we should be in the autos slot.

At least one or two of those could actually happen, three at a push

For me I’ll accept 8th or above. Robins has shown he has a plan of where he wants to be and wants continued progress. I expect Bham will take a bit of time to settle in and if we get to 70 points then we’ll be fairly close to making the playoffs. Target must be the points.

7 out of 8 is good. But you will look fat like me in the new kit....

New team again. Players will have to gel, get used to each other and formation.
Could be Christmas before we are firing on all cylinders. So perhaps not so good start, and hopefully pushing top 8 near end of season.

Finished 8th last season but in my opinion for the last few weeks of the season we were the most impressive team in the division. A lot will depend on if what is quiet a lot of new players on how quick they gell and of course injuries but i would be massively disappointed if we finish outside the play-offs.

wildly over optimistic. There are other clubs doing stuff as well you know
8th last year, 8 points off of the play offs, how many points did we drop... Robins wants us to improve each season. I certainly don't think it's wildly optimistic to think we should be looking at promotion. I bet Robins is.

Lots of players in and maybe 1 or 2 more also-possible some will have to go aswell. A few getting carried away and thinking we will be top 2!
With the turnover of players again and the distraction of St Andrews/politics etc, I think if we finish anywhere near where we did last season (8th) then that will be a successful campaign. So for me anything above that is a bonus.
A realistic ambition is automatic promotion.
That is what we should be aiming for.
After the first 10-20 games, we can adjust our expectations.
My main concern is that gaining promotion means scoring a lot of goals.
And I don't think our current team has a lot of goals in it.

MR says that the squad is better than last season's. Therefore, we should end the season in the top 6.
The flaw in your logic is it assumes all the other teams remain the same as last season.
