Burge 6
Grimmer 7
Davies 7
Willis 7
Brown 7
Kelly 6
Shipley 4
Baylis 6
Hiwula 5
Thomas 7
Jch 6
Fat zero for the lot of them.
- 5 for Robins for having the cheak to blame the conditions.
Shipley covered well? Like when there winger breezed past him and squared it for the second goal? The lad does his best but it was another 90 minutes when I can't recall a tackle from him and when it counts he fluffs the pass (first half to Thomas) .8.30 and no ratings thread shows how poor we were again despite difficult conditions, but I'll start one for no reason other than to let you tell me I'm wrong:
Burge 6 Positioning arguably not great on 1 goal but not culpable and not loads to do
Grimmer 5 not good enough on the ball today and often made the wrong call
Brown 4 so frustrating. People keep telling me he's good but I can't see it. Managers decision to get up the wing I understand but he's always out of position and a complete liability.
Willis 6 looked ok without being outstanding
Davies 6 as above
Kelly 6 worked hard but not good enough in possession
Bayliss 5 how sponsors gave him motm I'll never know!
Shipley 5 tracked back and covered well bit offered very little with ball
Thomas 6 usual great effort but no end product and poor decision making
Hiwula 3 never a footballer
JCH 3 would've been a 2 but a point for the penalty
Subs
Hyam 6 did nothing wrong
Allassani 6 looked lively in a dead game
Chaplin 3 I'm worried about our striking options and didn't do enough
Robins 1 poor set up, wrong selections, wrong formation, wrong tactics, wrong subs and needs to sort things quickly.
Worrying times!
Tactically very poor seems to becoming regular now.Fat zero for the lot of them.

Where was Brown when that cross went past Shipley? He was covering at that point which frank what I said. I've also only scored him 5 and said he was poor but you're hughlighting that Brown was worse again and yet you've somehow given him a 7!Shipley covered well? Anyway -
Burge 5 - looked culpable for their first to me. Fear he's going to stick to his line now after last weeks mistake.
Grimmer 5 - poor delivery, hard time defensively
Davies 5 - lucky to escape a big error in the first half, struggled with Collins
Willis 6 - as above without the big error
Brown 7 - looked reasonable going forward and solid enough
Shipley 4 - tried but no quality when it counts
Kelly 6 - very neat at times needs Doyle in there with him though
Bayliss 5 - showed glimpses but ultimately never really got in the game
Thomas 6 - effort great quality not there today
Hiwula 4 - needs to play Central.
JCH 4 - doesn't play the role well. Too much diving today, didn't win enough or make good runs. Tried a bit after 70 minutes as he tends to do. Needs dropping though
Subs - Allassani looked neat on the ball no one else did owt of note
Tbf he wasn't covering then as Brown was behind him, it was just another example of his inability to put a challenge in. Brown was good today.Where was Brown when that cross went past Shipley? I absolutely disagree. That was Brown's man and he left him. I pointed out numerous times we got away with it when Brown was wandering. I also read he's good going forward. Can anyone tell me how many goals he's scored or created this entire season as I can't recall a single one!Tbf he wasn't covering then as Brown was behind him, it was just another example of his inability to put a challenge in. Well the popular opinion seems to be that Brown was one of if not the best player for us today. Well done for seeing something almost everyone else didn't.I absolutely disagree. I guess I should simply row in behind like a fish then as forum boards are exceptionally interesting when everyone has the same viewpoint. ...Well the popular opinion seems to be that Brown was one of if not the best player for us today. Well done for seeing something almost everyone else didn't.
If Mason got 6.5 it's no wonder we lost.Burge 4 - not sure how he’s getting 6s was at fault got first goal and distribution was absolutely shocking
Grimmer 6 - solid enough
Willis 6 - likewise, injury worrying
Davies 5.5 - was okay, got away with a bad mistake which lead to a one v one they put wide
Mason 6.5 - thought he was best of the back four, tenacious and got forward well
Thomas 7 - always our biggest threat. Worrying he leaves in January
Bayliss - 4.5 love him but he had a shocker
Shipley - 4 really poor again
Hiwula 4 - unlucky with the ‘goal’ but otherwise poor
JCH 3 - dreadful today

Simply backing my own view whilst being sarcastic. You've come back with a similar retort. It's what Saturday evenings are all aboutI guess I should simply row in behind like a fish then as forum boards are exceptionally interesting when everyone has the same viewpoint. ...
I thought Brown was okay today.
Mason however, did nothing.
Not worse than me I don't think.I managed to miss Kelly as well. I blame a particularly bad mood from being frozen, wet and bored

Think these marks are spot on. Seems you were at the same match as me.Burge 5
Grimmer 4
Willis 5
Davies 6
Brown 5
Kelly 4
Thomas 6
Bayliss 3
Shipley 4
Hiwula 3
Clarke-Harris 3
Hyam 5
Chaplin 3
Allassani 6
Dreadful, dreadful performance. Completely bossed by a far superior team.
Hiwula and JCH were woeful.
Bayliss continuing his run of poor, lacklustre performances.
Thomas quiet.
Shipley did the odd good thing and then the odd bad thing. Certainly not the worst on the pitch.
Allassani looked tidy once again.
I think the score on Bayliss is a bit harsh. He didn't have a good game, but there were flashes of great play from him and he has to be scored higher than Shipley, surely.
I thought he was dreadful - he must have given the opposition the ball more than he found one of our players
That is because he looks up and finds no movement in front of him. Hiwula immediately gravitates to the middle so there is no one to pass to down the line. He is often always marking 2 players as well. The movement of the team in general was appalling but down the left side was obvious. The recruitment in January will have to be spectacular better than the summer, one of our biggest problems is that none of our new permenant signings have really improved our team this year. You may argue Brown has done ok but too often he turns two of their players brilliantly and then just passes straight to the opposition anyhow so for me jury still out.
