I think that’s probably what skew them. Don’t get me wrong. Great link up with O’Hare for the goal, although I think keeper would be disappointed not to get it especially with a hand on it. Good ball through to Vik too, but felt everytime the ball went forward it came back quickly and he just didn’t help take pressure off us

I just don't agree with you , I was here today , felt like he played well , set up a couple chances , worked well with vik when he came on , scored a nice goal after some great play between him and o hare , chased and worked hard .. good strikers performance really .. you must have incredibly high standards which is bizarre after we've had a massive amount of shite here for years.

17 in 44 championship games = league 1 ..

12 in 46 from open play

Read my posts again. League 1 outside of his finishing and I’m not the only one who thinks so.

It's 44 , and 12 in 44.

Penalties count park's, very strange way of looking at football

Moore 8 (good handling and some decent saves)
Dabo 5 (positionally dubious defensively. Rash at times and got away with a pen and red card. A couple of decent crosses though)
Bidwell 8 motm (looked really good at LCB. One great block throwing himself against the shot. Needed more of that endeavour from teammates)
Sheaf 7 (did okay in unfamiliar position and showed some good quality bringing the ball out)
Hyam 7 (pretty solid)
Clarke-Salter 6 (unfortunate early injury)
Hamer 5 (apart from some decent cross-field passes he looked laboured. Another stupid yellow)
Allen 6 (kept the ball moving with link play and covered a lot of grass again)
O'Hare 7 (good pressing again and did very well for Godden goal)
Shipley 3 (normally give 4 for 'really poor' but gone below that for the most abject performance I have probably ever seen)
Godden 8 (brilliant work-rate, superbly taken goal and set up for Gyokeres)

Maatsen 4 (taken apart defensively and offered little going forward)
Gyokeres 5 (did so well to get into goal scoring positions but had to put away at least one of the two)
Waghorn 5 (offered nothing. Makes Godden look pacey)

In our opinion, he scored a good goal but extremely isolated. I tend to think you have your sky blue goggles on with him a lot of the time

Ridiculous confirmation bias. Godden was our best player by far. If he was isolated it's not his fault. Linked brilliantly with O'Hare and Gyokeres, who should have buried the chance Godden set up for him.

How many aerials did you think he won. You must have been at the wrong game mate

Aerial duels is 50 50s , he flicked on atleast 2 in the last 10 minutes ? Unchallenged ? Must be it

You're arguing with me , about a striker who got MOTM on our team , who has scored our goal today and created the most chances for our team , youve also called a striker thats scored 17 in 44 championship games league 1 .. is it me or you that's a bit dense here ?

To be fair, you can't "win" a header if you are unmarked and unchallenged by an opposition player. Its just a header.

So he won 1 header, but also headed the ball unchallenged a couple of times.

Personally I thought he played quite well today, but would have Moore as MOTM for a couple of his key saves in the second half.

Yep fair enough ..

Now let's talk about his goal record v other strikers at this level ... and then tell me he's league 1 ... go

Long story short he isn't is he ? Nobody in the history of football has ever said a striker thats scores 17 In 44 at a club at this level is league 1 .

He would have finished 5th highest scorer last season with that record .. including all the other players who take penalties

Moore 8 - excellent saves and handling
Dabo 6 - struggled when their sub came on
Bidwell 7 - starting to look good to me
Hyam 7 - sound on the whole, gave it away a few times but also some good passes
Clark-Salter 6 - for when he was on
Sheaf 7 - better on the right than the centre of defence
Hamer 6 - not as good as last few games when he has been on top form. Some stray passes but still crucial for us
Allen 6 - much better than Wednesday
Shipley 3 - has to decide whether he wants to be a professional footballer
O'Hare 7 - started well but drifted out of the game a bit
Godden 8 - motm great goal excellent movement and link play

Subs
Maatsen 4 - wasn't sure about him at the start if the season. Then he won me over, now I am unconvinced.
Waghorn 3 - what is the point?
Gyokeres 4 - at least he tried but terrible misses.

Your later post shows Allen had the highest passing accuracy and 2 key passes so hardly think it is fair to make any comparison to Shipley. Allen also works hard off the ball.

Do you know what you are on about ? he’s scored 12 so far this season plus assists and missed 9 matches in a row through appendicitis, he gets in great positions in the box and that’s his job.

Godden was excellent even without the goal and a thorn in the Derby defence the whole game.

The goal was outstanding.

Just don’t see it, sorry. I think he’s ineffectual at CM.

I even rewatched the game the other week everyone was raving about him cos I missed it and o wanted to see a good Allen performance and I just thought he was OK. Good L1 player, OK squad option, but never going to impact a game.

But yes, he’s levels above Shipley who frankly on recent showings is lucky to have a pro contract.

Have to disagree with the comment on Allen had a poor first 20 minutes then played fairly well. Shipley though I expended more energy than he did walking from the car park to the ground and I parked next door to the ground. Bone idle.

I have been critical of Godden mainly because he hasn't learnt the offside trap and being slow but he had a decent game today should have had an assist and a goal and almost had 2 goals with the flick that just caught the keeper, definitely one of the better performers today whereas Shipley just astonishes me after he scored That goal he hasn't really showed any interest in resurrecting his career here another total ineffectual performance from him.

Ok then

Moore 8

Didn’t do anything wrong that I could see. Some good saves. Penalty conceded but well struck.

Dabo 5

Would be a 6 but really lucky to be in the pitch so loses a mark for that daft high kick.

Bidwell 7

Bidwell did well. Not bad on the left of the back 3 - stocky, so wasn’t outmuscled - not bad.

JCS 6

Hope he’s ok. We need him.

Sheaf 6

Not his fault for penalty. Some good passes and a couple of trademark loose ones.

Hyam 8

Did well, extra mark for putting himself about in the attack for set pieces.

Allen 6

Anonymous

Hamer 6

Petulant yellow loses a mark. Some good long wide balls.

O’Hare 7

Great assist. Other than that didn’t get many look ins. Booted in the air again.

Shipley 5

Had a chance to play in his preferred position. No cigar.

Godden 9

Plus one for goal. A few nice bits of link up play.

—

Maatsen 8

We looked better with him on the pitch.

Waghorn 6

Meh.

Gyok 6

Should have buried 2
