I don’t doubt that they have worldwide following. But the only metric you can look at that on is social media followers (I know o know - not the be all and end all) both sides lag behind even Leicester City.

I agree with you, I think when you start getting to midtable territory the choice might not be clear cut, but any Championship club with an ambition to hit the play offs, the player is choosing the Championship club more often than not.As could the top half of the Championship. I think all of that is swallowed up by financial clout though. Rangers are obviously a bigger club that Bournemouth but every single Rangers player would jump to Bournemouth in a heartbeat.

It’s shit, but you can’t start rebuilding until you accept where you are right now. We had to do that in the fourth tier. I would advise them to stop spending millions on average Championship players and instead look to the continent or Scottish leagues to develop talent that can be sold at big profits for more reinvestment.

The thread is essentially a massive dunk on Scottish football. Which I’m on board with because some Scottish fans can be pretty insufferable, but as I have also said often, I find it sad that a proud and football mad part of the world has fallen this badly.I can't stand them so don't care one jot about their current shitshow.

I think you'd have to merge English and Scottish football entirely to do that.
