Just one example. There have been a few more as well. Furlong??

Sakamoto does dive like a rag doll on occasions. He did it front of where I sit v Ipswich when the Ipswich player pulled out of a challenge. Sakamoto kept his head down while the ref gave him a knowing look and gave the throw to them.

All footballers try and con refs. Grimes and Eccles are probably the best for us at buying cheap free kicks.

He was dreadful for their winner , far too weak .

Fact is hes another player that gives us moments rather than consistentcy

Today wasn't about tactics, everyone just played shite, really fucking shite.

We are fucking lucky Ipswich don't seem to want to really go up as well.

Something has to change, not sacking Lampard as that isn't going to happen but the players need to realise they can not just go and play around teams.

The only good thing about today is that it has taken some of the pressure off me.

In late November, when we were flying high, I started worrying that we would collapse in the same way that we did in 2015/16 under Mowbray. As our performances dipped, I became increasingly stressed.

The stress has been lifted today because I’m now 99% sure that we won’t be promoted, so there is no point in worrying. If by some miracle we do go up, it will just be an unexpected bonus.

I’ll start worrying again next season because I don’t think it impossible that we could be struggling near the bottom of the Championship.

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

I was out today so didn’t see or listen to the match. I have just watched the extended highlights and I have to say what a great goal we scored. An excellent cross by Rudoni, great movement by Eccles to come round the back and head it in at the far post. It was a peach of a goal.

A genuine top of the table side would have hung on to that, or at least come away with a draw. But no, we are still vulnerable to a ball popped in behind defenders for a runner getting behind us. Defenders are just being passed out of the game. Their firsts goal Kitching and Dasilva caught out too high and an acre behind them. For a lot of games now Kitching can’t win a tackle or a header to save his life.

Second one shows how weak Sakamoto can be on the ball. Yes he works hard, yes he tracks back, but it is often ineffective. Once he gets turned over again we are vulnerable to a pass in behind the defender to a runner and from there on we are all over the place.

We have to find away to become tighter at the back. Team after team are targeting our weakness, it’s not a player, it is the way we play. The fact we got away with it in the first part of the season, doesn’t mean it wasn’t a weakness or we were not susceptible to giving teams too many chances.

We are still in a very strong position to get promotion. But we need to become harder to beat. It is now time for Frank Lampard and Joe Edward’s to show how good they really are as leaders and tactically.
