Is it worth putting something about the council assisting in finding a new ground or are we happy they’re doing something now?

A call to landowners to help?

Feel we need a position in case the current silence continues. We can’t just wait around for the ECJ judgement, it could be years we are away.

It isn't as the ECJ, it isn't a judicial process

Ill be honest I know it’s something to do with Europe and that’s about it and alternate between EU/EC/ECJ entirely at random

Happy to be a signatory to this too. User name here is MTK but could DM more details if senders decide that’s needed. Thanks to all who have organised - a great idea

What I would say is it might be better to make an awareness what the forum is and number of a time members rather than individual names.

individual names will be a low number. That then looks like it’s a small number of supporters represented on here and will definitely get picked up on. I had the issue with the polls I did when Neil snd co said it’s a small sample.

How many on average view the site in a month. It would be better I think to quote stats like that - a lot of people will never have heard of this site - and then do a poll asking who supports its content. Then it’s legitimate to say there are x thousand members and in a sample poll y% endorse the stance

As long as it gets around one hundred responders it’s valid enough a sample off the total number of members here

Last time the twitter gang were adamant this isn’t the biggest fans forum - the Facebook group is. It’s justifiable to say that that is not a forum it’s a group and it attracts different potentially less engaged people

The thing is Neil said it is a small sample.

Did he mention how many people were at the meetings compared to the 2,700? I'd say around 1%.

Without wanting to dilute the actual letter i think that's a pretty key thing to call out. Maybe in whatever email or cover note is supporting it...as grendel said, there are X amount of active members on SBT, and a poll showed that Y% of people agreed with the sentiment in this letter. For comparison purposes the average trust meeting has Z amount of people.

The most accurate way is a poll as there are too many different options

Users who post every day
Users who posted this month
People who only read threads
People who arent signed up but read threads etc

If I could make a suggestion.

If you do really want to make a changes in Coventry then the local elections are not far away.

What I have found out in the last few years is that political parties in Coventry are not that well supported compared to the support for the local football club.

Take for instance Coventry North West.

125 people who voted. I am guessing much less would actually go out to campaign.

With the recent ban on paid advert by political parties around election time, an organised viral campaign spread by the various fan groups on the web, to turn up on people's news feeds in Coventry supporting new candidates at the local elections, would have a devastating affect for those candidates who are already in established political parties.

So, who wants to be a councillor?

More to the point, who's prepared to organise it? It was tried during Northampton, but the nomination was late and it wasn't an overly impressive campaign, so arguably did more harm than good in that it encouraged CCC that the support was for the status quo.

I agree that it'd be an excellent way to put pressure on a solution, but it does need organising properly. Have you just volunteered?

Turnout in Coventry at the local elections is really low compared to other parts of the country who also vote. This is a good thing to whomever wants to try and change the norm.

It makes the job a whole lot easier.

I understand what you're saying Nick but I think the thing with just having a Poll is that if 100 people vote then it's only a tiny sample of the fan base. I'm not suggesting that the sample size be masked but it would add some more weight if we could give a number of active members (understand this is a tricky definition) that this sample poll is representative of.

Can you give the numbers for what you listed above? Particularly interested in users who have posted in the last 30/60 days and then total number of people who read threads (including posters). If it's a pain in the arse don't worry but if you've got the data

I’m happy to be included. It must be easy to see how many read a post?

Dum dum me, it’s at the bottom!! So 190 have read this post out of 7500 members. Not sure we can say any issued statement represents the views of the forum with such a low percentage. Can you see how many people are active, or have been active over the last month, people that have read topics not only commented?

This is brilliant to see. Top work all.

What about these vlogger/blogger types? There's loads! What about the likes of big TV/blogs from OTHER clubs...? Football family and all that jazz....Arsenal Fan TV etc (probably a bad example but you get my drift)

What about football journalists? Henry Winter has often tweeted stuff about our demise.

So many avenues with this...

Also, on the next international break or a day when Wasps are playing and we aren't can we "mobilise" for a non violent, non aggressive demonstration of sorts at the Ricoh?

Perhaps a march, en masse from the site of Highfield Road to the Ricoh? Flyer the fans, flyer anyone in the area...

Count me in - great idea and we as fans have been the ignored for far too long.
I would caution against quoting the 7000+ members of this forum, as it could undermine the strength of the message from any poll, if less than half responded.
If we had a couple of thousand fans, of which over 75% supported the statement, that would send a strong message to all the stakeholders.

I think just quote how many responded to the poll.

Less than half? A poll of 150 over 7,000 would show its legitimacy - 40 or 50 actual names just shows a few people who will be discredited by the media
