I don't think we're going to see the best of Rudi for a few weeks yet. He looked miles off yesterday.
Just got to persevere with him until he gets his sharpness back.

Ipswich fans giving it absolute stacks on social media. you’d think they haven’t won a game in years on the fact they are ex premier league and have a parachute fund.

We need revenge on these in a few weeks

We bounced back from defeat at Wrexham with five straight wins, can’t see it this time. I’m going for an optimistic 1-1 draw here, then win at home against Bristol on Saturday.

The exact type of game we don't want after losing yesterday.

The big away following need to be fully behind them.

First game of the season we play our strongest XI (Simms/Wright argument aside)?

Rushworth
MVE, Thomas, Kitching, Dasilva
Torp, Grimes, Rudoni
Tats, Simms, EMC

We win Tuesday, its what champions do.

We will win this. The performance against Ipswich was good, despite the scoreline.

Think Andrews gave a very good account of himself against Ipswich and deserves more game time. KKH on the other hand didn’t impress me much, but it may be due to limited playing time. He may be eager to prove a point against his former team. We cannot afford to keep going behind in games and especially not against this shithousing lot. Really wants to start keeping clean sheets again. Hope Torp and Saka are back for this as they were sorely missed yesterday.

Should win, we are much better than them and it should only be BTA missing.

Put Rudi on the bench and let him get back to match fitness more gradually, he's looked better off the bench than he has starting since he came back.

Rushworth
MVE-Thomas-Kitching-JDS
Torp-Grimes
Saka-Eccles-EMC
Simms

You can then bring Rudi and Wright on in the 2nd half

Yeah, if play like we did in the first half yesterday in the 1st half on Tuesday we'll be 2 or 3 up

We'll beat Preston.

Even second half we controlled a lot of the game, just so happened their defence and keeper played very well. It happens, despite their points tally they’re a very good side

A tight one nil to city, we really need to get back to keeping clean sheets. Need Torp and Saka back we sure missed their creativity yesterday. MVE looks lost without Saka in front of him

Maybe Rudi is carrying an injury to go with all the talk after the Charlton game, but had to be used as we were low on numbers. Question is, if Torp was fit yesterday who would have been dropped? Rudi?

And I am backing us to bounce back and end the curse on Tuesday as I expect the vital missing Saka will be back. along with Torp

Just watched extended highlights of PNE v Wrexham. Could have been about 6-3 to PNE. Looked very dangerous in attack. Wrexham goalkeeper played out of his skin. Plus the woodwork stopped a couple.

Not sure what sickness Torp had but to go from can't travel or play on Saturday to starting Tuesday is probably unlikely.
Unless it's the shits.
The shits might be a runner.

I was exactly the same

I don't think we will lose on Tuesday. Not sure on the win, but am quietly confident, as long as we have Saka and Torp back and the rumour that Grimes might be struggling is untrue

not sure, but what has been said is he was at the team hotel but didn't get on the game.

Lampard seems to think he should be ok for tuesday so likely the shits as you say

What rumour? Someone here said he'd tweaked his hammy which is likely nonsense as he was just leggy and cramping up

If he'd tweaked his hammy he'd have come off

Bouncing back is so important

A win here would be best possible way to do that

Although overall 4pts from next 2 would get us back on track too

But let's see what these players are made off. Another test for them to pass this season

Really could do with getting the win to offset yesterday, and we should do it.

But then the triumvirate of Preston, Away and Midweek pop up and say hello.

Hope the likes of Saka and Torp are back but given our luck at Preston it's more likely we'll find out that Torp's illness has swept through the squad and Grimes has tweaked his hammy.

Carrying an injury or protecting the shoulder it seems like, we might only get a 70% Rudoni for the whole season

Think it’s largely to do with him playing out of position.
