Rosenior wont last at chelsea , i used to like him but he started speaking football latin and now i think hes a bit of a dick

He's gone very Brent since being there.
There was a video of him during a match noticing himself on the big screen, and then he got up from the bench and started shouting instructions

If I was managing the opposition and the team scored against them I’d get them to grab the ball and everyone stands round it laughing

I think they stay up with thomas frank , probably wouldnt have been pretty but the logical thing to do would have been to sack him at the end of the season ORRRR do the radical thing of giving a manager time .

Theyve had some huge names fail in recent years
….it’s almost like the problem isn’t the managers.

Arsenal fans really do not like Gyokeres. Imagine if we could somehow pull off a deal to bring him back in the summer…

Although does make me slightly concerned at how big the step up is if he’s out of his depth.

Where are you seeing this? I read the Arsenal sub reddit a fair bit and they like him and feel sorry for him as Arteta doesnt play to his strengths.

It's not like he's a complete flop, plus I think it says more about the quality of the Portuguese league than anything.

Arteta's priority is always defence anyway. Don't think a return is on the cards as he doesn't seem particularly sentimental.

I also just read it on Reddit on the soccer sub Daily Discussion.

Some quotes from Arsenal fans:

‘Literally a back breaking signing. Best way to put it, hes like 38 year old ronaldo at man utd, but he cant jump for crosses cant hold the ball doesnt have a good first touch has no passing ability whatsoever and only gets non pen goals against bottom 5 pl teams. Literally a back breaking signing.’

‘Dude are you guys blind? Every time we try to speed play up and get this guy in channels he loses the ball. Teams are going man for man more and more and we are playing minus 1 player in buildup because he cant keep the ball, win a long ball or run the channel and keep it. He fucking sucks.’

‘The thing is, he's treated like a make a wish kid by his supporters.

"Oh, he puts a shift in"- yeah, that's the bare minimum of his job.

Meanwhile, his touch is consistently dogshit, he goes down every 5 seconds looking for a penalty, he seems unable to hold off defenders, and he can't even link play due to poor technical ability.

At least Merino has the tech to bring guys into play.

My dream scenario is that Berta uses his Atleti ties to orchestrate some kind of Gyok + cash swap for Alvarez this summer, but it's a pipe dream I'm afraid.’

I also listen to a podcast where one of the hosts is an Arsenal fan and he slags him off at every opportunity.

Judging by the language they sound like a load of Americans, so utterly clueless by default

They clearly haven't realised he's their top scorer in the league. Nobody else has made it to double figures yet, he's got twelve.

Could always point at that Palace season to show his capability but that’s getting longer and longer ago. I do also think he’s more in the mould of a ‘defensive 10’ than a deep lying midfielder and that’s done him in a bit.
All action CM, probably an 8 come 10.

Arsenal play awful football under Arteta, their whole set up is probably the polar opposite to what most strikers thrive off. They never hit the channels, they don't pass it forward early, the build up is glacial.

They also play 4 centre backs most games, the ones at L/RB don't overlap. Ever. They sit in a weird inside forward position doing fuck all leaving the wingers 1v1 or 1v2.

Basically the set up seems to be geared to winning corners.

Either get rid of the rules or get it cut, regulation buzz cut.
or just have refs that have common sense, the defender and the attacker have their hands all over each other

the commentator said the VAR voice feed which they get said it was a red not because he tried to pull his hair but because it is his responsibility not to pull hair which is nonsense as he does have a fucking clue his hand went in his pony tail

he's genuinely confused as to what happened when he is sent off.

They're not allowed anymore if you haven't noticed.he did by definition pull his hair whether it was as you say I'll leave that, but for me any attempt that puts a player off apart from a square on shoulder charge should be eliminated.full stop,🤔
Just another talking point for the pundits.
