Done that for years haven't they?

Don’t know this is the first time I’ve watched a game of theirs where they’ve played the song. If anything should mean they get the name Sky blues taken off them it’s that.

Mancs singing a Scouse band is weird

Then again we played Mr Blue Sky for years and they are all Birmingham City fans - thankfully we don't hear it much these days

@Caer Urfa I have seen some videos of the Sunderland fans being marched through Newcastle with police protection & the police keeping the Newcastle fans away sometimes using truncheons and also the team coach arriving at SJP with bottles & cans thrown at it. Is that normal for a TyneWear derby & did all Sunderland fans who attended have to go to the game that way? I assume they were marched to the ground from the train station. I find it quite sad that there is that much hostility & hatred to fans of another team especially when I think that there are people from towns & cities in the North East who whilst they support a certain team are proud to be from the North East & like to see all areas of the North East thriving.

Its the same every time we play at their place. Sunderland fans get the metro up and Northumbria Police fail to put correct measures in place and pockets of Sunderland fans end up surrounded by thousands of Newcastle fans. Pathetic to be honest.

its 50:50 where i’m from (south shields), and I went up Sunderland to watch it as its not worth the hassle of potential trouble.

everyone best mates again today at work 😂

Nothing Sunderland didn't do before the play off semi at there place - Did they ever even ban the people who ran on the pitch to goad our players at the end of the game? Maybe they should get their own house in order

Coventry fans were mixing in the city centre prior to the game having a drink etc, i seem to recall.

All clubs have idiots, my issues Northumbria Police not the mags.

Owing to St James' City Centre location, it does seem like guiding lambs to the slaughter frog marching you through streets from the train station - Shocked it is not a bubble fixture where your only means of travel is by club coach

Certainly wasn't any police escort for our fans at SoL earlier in the season. We walked out at the end of the game and some of the locals were complaining to the police about the swearing in some of our songs which the police lauged at, "2-0 & you fucked it up" & "you're shit & you know you are" 😂

My brother married a lass from Wallsend and has been up their for well over 30 years. Has 2 kids, one a Cov fan and the other a Toon fan. The Toon fan is based in Sunderland working on the rail network, and always has good banter with the Mackems. Funniest thing I saw up there was a Sunderland fan reveal his kit in a dads match at Wallsend Boys Club. The kids were all booing him, and the adults were all laughting.

That's just childish petulance, isn't it..

'Don't want it anyway!' when your mum tells you your continued misbehaviour has cost you your pudding.

The face in the photo in the link is the perfect one for the quote.
