Everton's next appointment can't be just somebody to keep them up, they need to be realistic that they're likely to get relegated and appoint somebody who they'd like to rebuild either way. I don't believe that's Dyche to be honest.

Then it’s hard to make such an appointment-anyone who comes in and oversees a relegation won’t want it on their CV and won’t want all the abuse from their more deranged elements.

For this exact reason I cannot get along with the whole Eddie Howe bandwagon. He's had money thrown at him like a stripper in Vegas.

When you look at what he's getting out of players like Almiron though I think it'll be interesting to see what he gets out of Gordon. Not saying they haven't over paid for him.

Don’t like players who throw strops at clubs, so hope Gordon goes on to have a dull career.

Chelsea’s insanity continues. £105 million, probably a 10 year contract because why not

Agree with you .IMO not only will he not save them He will not bring them back up as a manager I liken him to Steve Bruce and Dean Smith failed managers in recent years who get trotted out each time a vacancy occours ,They must do a good interview they talk the talk but fail to do the walking bit. I'll take the flack if wrong but don't think I am.

He'll keep them up, and he'll have them well clear of the relegation zone next season.

Who’s going down if Everton stay up?

Southampton thens it’s 2 from anyone Everton up to forest.

Maybe Bournemouth and Forest

It's hard to call, it's very tight, but with Dyche at the helm I'm sure it won't be Everton.
Wolves, although a decent outfit are very toothless up front

Everton haven't had a problem with conceding goals - pretty much average for those outside top 6. It's scoring goals - only 15. Dyche isn't known for that side of his management. It could all come down to the proverbial 6 pointers against other teams around them.
Dyche won't be there long (if they stay up) as Everton fans going to soon start bitching apart style etc.

As I posted yesterday he's won 10 of his last 53 Premier League games. The big problem he's got is how he's going to get them to score enough goals, I think he can tighten them up defensively but they have a paucity of attacking options.

They’re apparently after Lucas Joao now - they’re that desperate. Reckon we could tout Walker for 2m

It certainly went wrong towards the end at Burnley but most managers go stale after too long at a club and he wasn't backed.
Agree about their attacking options which is why I found ot strange them letting Gordon go, though after him being chased down the street it's probably for the best.

They’ve just received £45 million and stand to lose a ton if relegated.

They have some financial difficulties but probably expected to be able to bully us.

I heard a football finance guy saying that if they went down they wouldn’t be worse off the parachute payments cover most of the problems and their crowds would be as high at the top end and lots of away fans going for a change and if gives them chance to rebuild obviously only works if you go back up.

If they’re willing to spend 25-35m on strikers - Gyokeres should have been their first bid. Evidently they don’t rate him as highly as us

The money thrown around by PL clubs really is obscene. Football is just a reflection of wider society really, as in most clubs like many people living an actual or almost hand to mouth existence while a wealthy segment show off their wealth ostentatiously.

They try to justify it by saying it’s spread over …. years, they just seem to have bought a load of players with no thought of a team.
