Newcastle promoting a kit dedicated to their Saudi oil barons, with some random gambling company smeared on the front. Modern football in a nutshell. Managed to get a few female players in there as well, supporting a country that treats women as second class citizens.

Majority of their fanbase has become completely insufferable on social media too, couple that with the Arab and African 'fans' they've acquired and they've become almost as embarrassing as Man City rather quickly.
Fucking hate modern football and if I didn't love my club I could happily leave the sport behind I think.

Pretty much in the same place, not much is the same from what I liked about it growing up and even then that was during the Sky era.

His goal scoring record at Everton was pretty good.

Be interesting how it works with him, Son, Kane, Kulusevic and Peresic.

Perisic will be playing at wing back as I understand.

Richarlison probably gives good cover/rotation across the front 2 or 3 depending on the system played. I know it’s a lot to spend on something like that but they’re probably wary of not wanting to burn Kane and/or Son out this season and having adequate cover. Still got Moura as well haven’t they?

May I add my reading and comments on this thread are all pretty much geared towards helping me work out who I’m picking in my Dream Team this year.

Not really sure why they've signed him, as I think they've already got better available to them.

i can't stand the guy, but I can see why they've signed him, additional games with the Champions League, and he can cover all three of Kane, Kulusevski and Son

Looking at Wiki, these are the 29 year olds playing for London clubs who's national team is going to the world Cup. I believe Tottenham have said its none of their players.

Arsenal
Thomas Partey Ghana
Granit Xhaka Switzerland

Crystal Palace
Jordan Ayew Ghana
Sam Johnston England

Tottenham
Ben Davies Wales
Son South Korea
Lucas Moura Brazil

West Ham
Alphonse Areola France
Vladimir coufal Czech Republic
Ryan Frederics England
Manuel Lanzini Argentina

If the player lives in Barnet it's most like Spurs or Arse

It now caters mainly to plastic wankers.
In 50 years I wouldn't be surprised to have some kind of weird WWF-style stories around it all.
