Such a West Ham signing. Hope he does well but they don't have a good record with strikers

Callum Wilson: West Ham sign former Newcastle striker

West Ham sign striker Callum Wilson on a one-year contract following his release from Newcastle.

If they can give him good service I’ll think he’ll do well.

If they can keep Wilson match fit it will be a great signing. I see they have not offered Antonio a new deal and he has left the club.

It’s nice that ManUtd have been able to bring their own ref for the summer series game against Everton.

How do you rate your chances of staying up? I’d rather see Sunderland up there than Sheff Utd, personally.

nowadays the gap between championship and premier league is so big, even spending £150mil its a huge ask to stay up. I think we have a slim chance of getting 4th or 5th bottom and just survive, I feel Brentford and Wolves will be in amongst it along with the 3 promoted sides.

20m euros on a 32 year old Xhaka (on presumably decent wages) seems an odd decision.

odd? I feel its an absolutely superb signing personally. We have the youngest side in league football, his added class and experience is a huge addition.

For this season it's a great signing but a 3 year deal on what, near 100k a week? If you go down surely you'll have to let him go for pennies.

rumoured to be on £75k a week, our owners are smart we will have relegation clauses in place to reduce that hopefully, plus we have parachute payments in the event of relegation. Sadly every promoted club now has no option but to gamble otherwise none of us have a chance due to the gap.

Is he already getting stick? I've seen a few posts on Instagram saying he looks overweight, but not really kept up with how he's got on so far

He hasn’t trained in months so has a bit of catching up to do. Still put him in my FPL regardless

Yeah, might not reach his Portugal figures, but I suspect he'll still do well

Arsenal will need to adapt a lot.

Caught a bit of the game last night, Vic barely got passed the ball. He did make something happen each of the few times he was given the ball in a decent position.

If they’d signed him a few years ago this wouldn’t have been an issue, but better late than never.

yeah they are not set up to get the best out of him yet

he may also need to try and be more of a penalty box player as well

So many clubs in it I'm just 'meh' about, yet they'd twat us without breaking sweat. Bit depressing

Liverpool easily my most hated team in the world, primarily because of all the pricks from Cov who support them.

One of the most obvious handballs you’ll ever see and affected the flight of the ball to the palace player too
