Premier League Fixtures & Live Matches on TV Season 2025/26

I'm a bit p*ssed off Sunderland seem to have an easy start in Premier League terms.

But imagine if that ‘easy start’ delivers only a couple of points. Then they can look forward to facing the rest of the season chasing Derby’s lowest point tally.

How come there’s no Boxing Day or New Years Day games?

Seems a bit odd given Sky were pushing for Christmas Day games last season.

Supposedly it’s to allow teams more time to rest

Premier League clarifies why no Boxing Day fixtures are scheduled

Complete bullshit imo

The same teams that finish the season and immediately jet off to the US/Asia for tournaments I'd imagine...

It’s complete nonsense. It’s a team game, it’s not like these clubs can’t find a squad of players to rotate and play a few games over the Christmas period.

Exactly. It's the teams that can afford to shell out £100+ million on an individual player or have 30 squad members out on loan who complain as well.

It's where I want us to get to, but I hate the Premier League mindset so much

this needs to be asked by interviewers every time a manager complaining about fixture congestion.

rest also seemingly less important if Sky decide they want to move games
Matches in Round 18 (December 27) are available for movement to Boxing Day for live broadcast selection.

Yep agree, although I imagine managers don't really have a say at the end of the day and probably would prefer the break as well, so then it's a complaint they need to have with the club owners rather than complain to the press

Man.City fined £800,000 for starting games late (rule L33).When are the financial rules going to be dealt with?

Antoine Semenyo…is he really that good? They’re talking about £70mil for him. He didn’t particularly shine when I saw him for Bristol city…

I mean that was two years ago.

He got a goal or assist every other game last year for Bournemouth.

Has played RWB, RM, RW, LW, LM, CAM, ST and is only 25.

Yeah, i wasn’t really basing my view of him on that match…hence why i was asking. He was highly rated back then too.

Have you seen him play regularly? I’m just wondering how good he really is as I don’t watch too much prem football.

Had him in my fantasy team for a fair while. Hardworking player, versatile and good on the ball. Bournemouth would rotate their front 4 a lot but he was pretty much everpresent.

Signings like him and Mbeumo carry less risk than spending £70m on Vik imo

You mean they’re proven in the prem? still only 25 too I suppose.

Possibly less risk but £70mil is still a fair old whack.
Unfortunately I’m entirely blinkered when it comes to Vik and think he’ll excel in the prem.

Is it true or is it some AI generated wind up that theyre going to be able to interview subs during EPL games and cameras will have access to the dressing rooms?

I saw that. I hadn’t considered it might be AI.
My initial reaction was to vomit all over the floor.

More fake news about Gyokeres and Man U. With Cunha and Mbuemo (assuming that goes through) additions, they’d be morons to not turn their attention to their absolutely pish defence.

Yeah I didn’t think he was useless by any means. Just haven’t seen much of him since then and now being linked with a £70mil price tag.

United fan on Facebook tried telling me that the negative goal difference was entirely down to the front line, and when their entire defence is injury free it will be fine

The inflation is real isn't it?

30mil in the prem equates to a pretty bog standard player.

Money in the game is absolutely mental, we have just signed a midfielder for a midfielder for £30mil plus add ons, and are in for another £100mil worth of players, not to mention the £24mil spent on Enzo Le Fee. Gives us a fighting chance at least.

Again how does it take three years from arrest to charge? No wonder some women don't go through with cases or drop them. Being badly let down.
