They looked good yesterday but we are a different team than the last few years

Great to give Wright a bit of time off

Can see Jamie Allen playing more of a role he was so busy and effective

We have goals in our team and a spine that’s strong and resilient however we haven’t won 5 on the trot very often

2-2 wright and saka

We lose an element of control with BTA in the 10 but it’s hard to drop him when he keeps scoring

I assume it’ll be the same team and would take a draw

I definitely would bring another midfielder in and play BTA on the right or left ahead of EMC or Saka

not sure which one I’d drop to the bench

Sounds mad to be negative with the results we’ve had, but just feel we’ll come unstuck in this game. Hope I’m wrong.

MVE Thomas Kitching Dasilva
Allen Grimes
BTA Torp EMC
Wright
Need Saka on the right to keep their LB honest. He did a good job on Fatawu last night and would boss BTA

They’re decent. I think it’s good that Murphy is out but the Korean lad they’ve got from spurs looks excellent.

Watched them vs Leicester yesterday and it was pretty much all Pompey 2nd half.
Commentators (one of whom was Guy Whittingham) were saying Chaplin hasn’t performed for them yet.

When I went to watch them earlier in the year Segecic was their main man…very tricky and scored an excellent goal. Chaplin is preferred to him at the moment.
I’d say as a side they lack a bit of pace but they’re solid - swift and Dozzell are consistently good performers.
They’re better than last year and have done really well against the top teams this season.
And so concludes my Ted Talk.

Can’t believe people would drop Saka over EMC. Think EMC has been very meh recently.

I have no idea how fitness management works for games like this. Whatever the iPads say I guess.

Lacked the final ball a lot, looked a bit like us the season before the PO final season. Was quite impressed though, never stopped fighting and second half looked by far the better team and more likely to win IMO.

They are a capable side, but we are clearly a better one - if we’re serious about a title run then we should be at least slightly disappointed with anything other than a win.
100% we need to raise our expectations if we are serious of getting a top 2 spot.

Other teams have had a mixed start, so we need to really go for every single point now, and Portsmouth certainly arnt unbeatable.

Agreed. I think with a little more quality they’ll be really dangerous.

As a club they seem to be in a really good position.
I liken their situation to ours. They had a rough old time of things (albeit won an FA Cup and had some fab memories prior to disaster- Ronaldinho’s AC Milan at Fratton Park!) and seem to be in good shape nowadays.

Once Rudoni is back I think BTA would be worth a run on the left side, he offers far more of a goal threat and assists than EMC.

And wouldn't lose his man every 5 minutes when defending.

Whilst I appreciate BTA's workmanship, he can't dribble. EMC leaves multiple defenders for dead numerous times a game
