Clearly not what we need if we're talking automatics?JDS is weak; clearly not what we need if we are talking automatics. Along with midfield cover left back is the position most in need of attention. No matter how much JDS improves, it is from a low base and we need better.
That said, one of the neatest moments on Saturday was JDS, in a tight spot, hit a sweet little chip to Grimes over the legs of a Blackburn player to get out of jail. It was the action of a player full of confidence. He didn't just boot it up field (as I might have)
It would be interesting to see some heat maps. I feel Grimes often covers the left as it's a weakness for us.

I say this every time we play Pompey, that the 3-3 draw with 9 men was the moment the Robins years turned from recovery to growth. We could beat anyone in League 1. And the Kastaneer tackle well what can you say?

JDS hasn't been great whilst he's been with us, admittedly towards the back end of last season and in some parts of this he's been a lot lot better but to say he's having a good season is stretching it a bit.
Dasilva is having a good season. He is great with the ball at his feet (as good as anyone in the squad). He gets back well and has not been beaten too often (all full back get beaten sometimes). His attacking play has been decent and his interplay with the midfielders is consistently good. I really think that people are desperate to find a fall guy. I don't have an agenda, no beef with JDS or anyone else, I'm not a boo boy I don't want or are looking for a fall guy, I'm just saying it how I see it.Dasilva is having a good season. We only have 4 outfield players of definite Prem quality - Grimes, Wright, Rudoni and MVE. If we are after the autos we have to address that starting with JDS.
