unfortunately, we'll lose today

with all this 'unbeaten at home talk'
the inability to keep a clean sheet, especially now we have no defence again
the inaility to break down a ridged back 8

think its going to be a very depressing game with nil points

it will however kickstart the second half of the season after we have stalled the bus in the last 10 games , look back at the results, we should have 8 more points at least, and thats not even with the refs decisions of late

Sorry guys if it's already been mentioned elsewhere, but does anyone know if there will be any cash turnstiles open today?

Thanks in advance.

A tweet from the club earlier this morning:

Plenty of tickets at Cash Turnstiles today: 30 to 37 for North Stand and 43 for West from 1:30pm. #pusb

Lameiras in for Kent maybe?

Hopefully, yes. The second critical returnee from Ricketts. Murphy will do so some damage today; we should be back to all-out attack to grab some early goals and settle ourselves in.

It might not be tight today, if we stamp our authority early on. Could be a 3-0, could be a 3-1.

No defence? Ricketts is back today. Surely you',re not saying that weakens us.

I expect a win and am confident that we will indeed be victorious. I think it might be an exciting game too.

Let's face it, yes Oldham set up not to lose and it worked, but we had two gilt edged opportunities, one when Armstrong should have squared it and the other when Kent should have done the same. The Kent one especially, as Joe Cole was sitting unmarked on the 6 yard line.

Either of those had gone in and we would have won the game quite easily I reckon.

Keep the faith. Good, strong performance today and 3 points!

We better hope Fleck is fit.

Murphy in for Cole without doubt. Ricketts in for Turner. Fleck for Bigi. I'd also go for Ruben for Kent, although I think TM will stick with Kent.

Maddison will be an impact sub again.

Armstrong needs a goal early on otherwise I worry he will disappear from another game!

Go for a 2-1 city win

We need it to stay inn touch - no need to be top as we don't need the pressure but we need to be there or thereabouts

We have strong team including the subs line up - shame about big Ben but this happens !!!!

We have enough about us still though, matesx. You look at our attacking weaponry and we have Armstrong, Murphy, Kent, Maddison, Cole and Lameiras. All of those can be match winners.

If we are weaker at the base of the midfield I think we need to concentrate on the damage we can do at the other end of the pitch.

Bigi wasn't up to Fleck standards, but he wasn't bad and now Ricketts is back I think we should be more assured.

Armstrong hasn't scored for a couple of games or so, so I would be expecting him back on the scoresheet today.

The crowd could be important today too.

Even if Fleck is missing I think we have enough in our locker to go on and win the game and anyway, if Fleck is close to being fit I think he could be more important to us on Monday away to Chesterfield, rather than today's game.

If it were a choice of the two matches I would rather Fleck in for Monday.

----Vincelot--Fleck

Not sure TM thinks Maddison is ready for a start, but he does link up really well with Lameiras for sure. Might be that Murphy is back in, with Maddison on the first bench.

We can start with him and take him off at half time when we are 3-0 up

I'm hoping for a 4-0 win today as it will be my first game at the Ricoh in 2 years..
There are 18 of us going up today so a big win would set Boxing Day off nicely..

I'm fearing the worst on this, but my bets are optimistic... Either a hat trick for arma or Murphy.

I hope the atmosphere will be better today, but realistically it'll be worse. It seems when we have a bigger gate we have less noise!

I'd play Kent ahead of Lameiras (and I like Lameiras). Kent is hugely talented and massively under appreciated by most city fans. It would be a travesty if we were not to play someone with so much ability on the basis that he is young, raw and a bit naive. Looked our most threatening player on Saturday.

Word coming off the training ground from other players is that he is the most gifted player they have ever seen. He will go to the very top.

My opinion of course and TM might leave him out as he has done on other occasions and if RL plays fine, no real issue with that.

Kent has probably been responsible for more missed opportunities than anyone else. Unlike Murphy, Armstrong and Lameiras, he's incapable of learning. Send him back NOW!!!

This is true about the opportunities. Kent has fluffed so many golden ones for sure.

He's going back though in a couple of weeks anyway isn't he?

Remember boxing day last year away to Doncaster. It can't be any worse than that. Going for a 0-0.

Why?! Different circumstances completely.

Either most of us are hungover and miserable after yesterday, or we've suddenly become a shit side again. :thinking about:

Yep, don't get it. We lost at Sheff Utd when we clearly didn't deserve to lose and were within seconds of beating Oldham.

Today we have Ricketts back, a fitter Maddison and Cole and a bumper home crowd and we still remain unbeaten at the Ricoh.

Don't get it!!

Win, win, win!!! I think it will be an exciting game and maybe 3-2, but I feel really good about this game and am convinced we will win.

Has someone been at the Schloer again, hmmm? I've always thought that Schloer sounds like a German being sick, myself: "Gah, scheissen, das ist gut booze...oh Gott...*schloer!!*"

But yes, I feel positive about the game today, it's either gonna be open and goal-filled in our favour or it'll be a high-scoring close call.

Yeh this is probably mowbrays plan I reckon. I know it's not necessarily best for us in the short term if we have a better player on the bench, but Mowbray has only got these great loan players in because he has a really good reputation. If his deal with Liverpool for Kent was that he would be in the starting line up where possible I understand him starting him ahead of lameiras until he goes in Jan. As frustrating as that may be for us, it's him looking after these lads that let's him bring them in in the first place

how much is pay on the gate? Thinking of taking the old man up as a late Christmas present as he hasn't been for a few years

You're all being too negative, they'll win today. Been out walking the dog this morning and seen a few kids in City shirts, that's not happened for a while. Very nice to see.

Not encouraging, that.

Thought he only had a slight injury, but now it seems he's being rested for some reason. Might be on his way, lads.
