Pompey defence in the 5 mins after half time - 11

Strange game, after those gifts the nerves were gone and the 4th and 5th just icing on the cake.

Not sure we played that well. Pompey seemed to give up maybe realising they were safe.

10s all round.

10s for the starting 11.

10s for the subs.

A 10 for the Boro supporter whose fella wears the cloud suit. In fact make it a 20. Firstly a 10 for coming to our games. Secondly, a 10 for going out in public with someone wearing that suit.

10 for Poole from Portsmouth.

10s for the Leicester squad and their tireless efforts to get Leicester out of the Championship this season.

Thomas, Grimes and Kitching stood out for me. Rudoni found some nice spaces. We retained the ball really well and were obviously helped along the way by a terrible Pompey keeper.

Really was such a faultless performance (albeit against pretty pony opposition).

Special mentions for JDS who was showing why he'd be a worthy nominee for POTS, and Torp when he came on showing that touch, finesse and technicality that justify why he'll likely be part of our squad for the Prem next season (albeit he needs to get on a bulking plan a la Gyokeres of Summer 2021).

I genuinely forgot that YMH was one of our players when I saw him walking around the pitch at the end.

Fewer minutes than Sean Maguire I believe?

Been a strange loan really, as January was when we were starting to flag, and he wasn't likely to feature much when we were trying to grind out results.

Not even been on the bench recently has he?

Worth trying
Very low risk
Won’t have cost much
Clearly not good enough

Back 4 were all excellent, as was Grimes. EMC was our most dangerous forward. Rudoni had moments too. Haji was Haji. Missed 2 good chances, wasn't holding the ball up as much as he should be doing, but also scored the opener. I think if he gave Ellis Simms that first 75 minutes you'd have got a better return. Hopefully Saka back for Sunday. Bidwell, KKH & Torp all brilliant off the bench

I am not sure how you'd getter a better return with Simms on for the first 75 minutes. We were scoring freely - the only thing that would need returning is the ball from Meriden after one of Simms rocket launcher shots
