An article full of hot air. Try better next time.

"So, are the policies similar as Trump claimed? In the most superficial of ways, yes."

And that's enough for you? Compare the two.

In 2011, under Obama's term, the state department responded to a clear and specific threat by implementing a temporary, 6 month, threat. A similar thing happened after 9/11.
Trumps ban is not to stop any specific threat. In fact no refugee or immigrant from the countries on Trumps list have ever been involved in a fatal terrorist attack in the US.

Obama paused refugee processing.
Trump is stopping entry for all non US citizens from the countries on his list.

Its not even remotely close to being the same thing, as the piece states the only similarity is in the most superficial of ways.

It's semantics and you know it is.

You're just so warped by Trump that you cannot handle anything that comes out from him. Multiple threads not even related to politics have had you popping up making swipes about him.

God forbid if anyone like that got elected in this country. You'd have an actual meltdown.

No it isn't. One was a temporary halt to processing refugees due to a specific credible threat. It didn't even stop entry, refugees were still admitted during that time.

Trump's is a ban on all people travelling from Chad, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria, North Korea, Venezuela and Yemen. Why are Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt not on the list given its people from those country who have undertaken terrorist acts against the US recently? Nothing to do with those being countries Trump has business interests in I'm sure.

If you genuinely can't see the huge difference between the two situations I'm speechless.

I can see that there is a difference, but not enough of one for people to completely ignore one, and then be completely outraged at the other.

For the record, I think that Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Egypt should be on the list if the others are. It seems pretty ridiculous otherwise.

Yes, especially as it’s coming out about Flynn‘s plans of a joint Russia/ USA project to provide atomic power stations in the Middle East. How much more would Flynn get if that came off.... in addition to 15m US for Kidnapping Gülen and some more for tearing up the sanctions? Not to mention where does the Trump Corporation or subsidiaries come into this? Pure Putinist-like cleptomania. No wonder Flynn and Trump are so popular with Russia. And a tax bill which favours the Trump family and most of his cabinet. The people who voted for Trump wanted to drain the swamp not restock it.

Tin foil hat time but is it a coincident that he made this comment within hours of Mueller subpoenaing his Deutche bank records? This seems to have taken the spotlight away.

So reassuring that Trump has backed this guy, Ray Moore, embroiled in a child sex abuse scandal.

Alabama votes in high-stakes election

And this is what this Ray Moore believes.

Things Republican Roy Moore believes

I would definitely see that as extremist.

And his campaign says they are not accepting it because 51:49 is too small a majority. They want to contest it. So much for right wing democracy. Reminds me of „you lost, get over it“....

The USA is bigger and better than that.

His base is around 30%, but he is president for 100% of Americans.

His approval ratings are the worst ever.

I hope he, and his cronies, get led out of office in handcuffs.

Trumps not dangerous. He’s just a cartoon character who makes outrageous statements for maximum effect and to detract from the fact that he is doing very little in terms of legislation

Clinton would have been far far more dangerous.

Sorry Grendel but Trump is clearly dangerous to both the global environment & world peace...... his statements are more often than not designed to inflame situations as a distraction technique......its a super-condensed version of the "Shock Doctrine"......

His "approach" has escalated tensions considerably in the Middle-East & Korea......

Not only that......his constant twittering has potential to cause panic & uncertainty across the globe......

The bloke is a fucking global liability & the sooner he is impeached (or charged with sexual assault etc.) the safer the world will be.

Have you seen the rise in right wing terror attacks since he’s been president? A group he seems to take privilege in empowering. Have you seen the troubles he’s reignited in Palestine and Israel? Do you think this will motivate home grown Islamic terrorist in the USA?

Everything the man says and does either antagonises or exacerbates tensions both in the US and wider world. Something Bill Clinton seemed to be able to avoid for the most part and I dare say Hillary would have been similar although in very different times.

Not sure what you’re basing your opinion that Hillary would have been far far more dangerous on. Seems a flippant comment at best.

Clinton openly prior to the election campaign indicated she would demand a no fly zone with Syria an action she openly acknowledged could result in conflict against Russia.

Trumps talk and bluster will long be forgotten when he has departed. Clinton shared him on the ego maniac stage but would have persued her anti Russia agenda with far more purpose. The consequence would have been potentially calamitous.
