Just seen the equaliser back.
Torp's delivery was shite! Knee hight to first man....Luckily kitching hooked a leg around and it found its way in!

Coventry
Robins interview a weird one. Seems fuming about the result and then happy to get a point and then angry and then reasoning.

Can vouch for this. I texted in saying that Robins should be sacked and replaced by Jackett and was immediately called back being invited to go on.

So tempting to say yes

That's hilarious. I genuinely did the same thing but said it was Slade we needed back to steady the ship.

'Hi ESB1, this is Liz calling from CWR. Would you like to come on the show and talk about the game?'

He just said that it's not 'Championship Manager' & he can't just put out the same team week in,week out & they're human beings he's dealing with

And rightly so.

People moaning about players being rested are the ones who'll then moan about injuries.

Who had the easier chance? Godden or Simms?

Who scored?

Simms needs a run of games. Godden has had a run of games. Godden deadly in front of goal?

I'm sorry but not buying it anymore. It's like playing with 10 men most of the time. We can't afford passengers.
Godden.
Simms.
Where did I say Simms shouldn't start? He could do with a fair few in a row. Godden did have that early season and scored. The chopping and changing doesn't help forwards build momentum/confidence. I'm saying the grief Godden gets is over the top, like he's massively declined, he just doesn't work with how we're playing. You could argue playing with 10 is down to how we play if we don't really use the forward. Simms or Godden, a lot of the game end up fighting for long passes over their head. We don't get the ball into the forward, in the box enough, and both have become victims of that

Fuck me.

Just played away at a team solid at home who score lots of goals. They don't score for no reason. Said I would be happy with a point. I'm happy with a point. Sloppy? That's how they play. Got the same result as Southampton got.
Did you listen to Robins?
Wasn't overly happy with the performance either....

I get starting Godden.

“You said to play you and you scored against L1 opposition in the cupand didn’t replicate it in the league. Go out there and do it against a team that was L1 last year”

Lad has no argument about playing for a good month now after his competition scored.

Nah. He was about a 6. Calling that performances garbage is daft. Doesn't deserve a start next game either, but still, not garbage. Not by a long shot.

Actually, thinking back on the game, Palmer did a lot of good things and like someone else said, was trying difficult passes which Yeah, didn't come off this time. Never hid. I'm giving him a seven.

Decent goal by Simms.

He was alive to the opportunity to get his first shot in. Perhaps not the best effort but it was well stopped by the goalkeeper and Simms was alert to get the rebound in.

👍

Thrn we shouldn’t have spent our time on EMC. But it sounds like the deal changed last minute too late to switch to another.
You would hope we’d have had more than one target because a wide player seemed essential if we want playoffs.

I think it’s pretty obvious that King thought we would get him judging by recent stories in the media but the Posh chairman played hard ball

anyone know the time frame given for Sheaf’s return, seems essential we get him and Torp playing together, Ben just settles the whole midfield and transition.

Games end up too chaotic without him.

EDIT: just saw 6-8 weeks, fucking hell so at least early April return then a few weeks back to fitness.

If we some how managed to get promoted id chuck £10m at these for Whittaker
We agreed a deal for him in the summer but he chose Plymouth over us.

Makes me think fuck off but Robins is renowned for chasing players over a few windows.

Palmer did well considering Plymouth player was wrestling him at every opportunity

Depends what you want from Simms. For me tonight he worked extremely hard which always goes down well but actually is the least you should get. He was lucky with the goal - but obviously he scores so you can’t be too critical. The bottom line is he is our best option in that role.
Lucky for the goal? Just like saying Godden was unlucky with his chance. Took a shot and followed in for the rebound.

Why’s Robins kicking off at social media? He’s been in the game long enough to know football fans are a strange breed

99% of us are erratic idiots! That’s not just Coventry fans, that’s football fans in general.

he can check out any teams socials and find that in the first minute Player A is their best player… 50 mins in Hes shite and at the end of the game he’s back to being god

Yes I'm sure he said he put a 'silly' number on us signing him with no loan back and we went for it, which he wasn't expecting but accepted.

Then changed it last minute.
