We did get proper taken apart at their place though. That’s what worries me. They seemed very happy with Lampard tactics of a high line and lots of possession and just picking us off at will.

Yeah, agree but it's a different dynamic at Wembley. They didn't really target the high line as such just set traps for us and caught us in possession. As we should know well that's where Hamer is particularly dangerous.

My big ongoing concern with Lampard is his ability to set us up against much better opposition and be a bit pragmatic in his tactical choices. When the task is to ultimately beat a parachute club to the playoffs it’s a bit of a worry. But we’ll see, very small sample sizes so far.

Playing to the laws of the game is not a technicality!
technicality (noun) · technicalities (plural noun)

  1. a point of law or a small detail of a set of rules:

I was merely following the definition above and ref followed the rules to a T in this case. I did say on another post the Bristol player made an error. Looks like we’re on the same page. Shame the match turned on that decision. That’s all I meant. So I don’t see what the problem is.

Someone needs to stick to Hamer like glue at all times and try to nullify his threat.

Not sure what you were watching but Hamer is vital to the Blunts. He was pinging passes, taking corners, and a little bit of everything else. He's the player of the season for a reason. They're literally the Blunts without him. Someone (maybe even 2 players) needs to silence him.

Hi mate! Yes I agree with yourcomments and he seemed to be channelling on the left, but as you say he takes all the dead balls and is excellent on corners. My comment was as a result of 15 - 20 mins second half. Like the comment Blunts without him🤣🤣🤣

The best way to cut out Sheffields attack is to not allow Gus any space. As he pings balls all over the place

Exactly, if we do play Sheffield in the final you've got to stop Gus Hamer playing those long balls ect,

We need a Lloyd McGrath to Mark him out of the game, can Sheaf do that job?

Doug needs to say:

“Throw the game and come home. Your missus will be happy. Plus we’ll sign you back and give you a £10m sign on fee”

Joking aside, what’s promotion worth? £200m?
Give or take £190m for play-offs. But not all in 1 go. It's over a few seasons.
Let's say we have £100m first season for FL to spend. I'd put a cheeky £50m bid in for Gyokeres, well get 10% of it back so we could pick up Vik for £45m we'd have a half decent chance of staying up with his goals.
