Sheffield united already had the edge over the other teams in the playoffs and now I can't help but feel that having the first game locked up and likely to tie gives them an even greater chance, they can rest players as soon as they get that one more goal or even before the ball is kicked. Makes them even bigger favourites now unfortunately.
Gloom.. or Poisitively brimming with enthusiasm, we have to back the team. I’m nervous about this game but haven’t written is off in the final because it’s one game at a time.

I really doubt that the current Sheff Utd squad give a shit about the club not winning at Wembley since 1925.

People hang on to some strange and feeble things.

They'll keep getting asked about their abysmal play off record though and it might start to plant a few seeds of doubt, hopefully.

Chav talk. As much as I don’t understand people calling him a rat or whatever, I just can’t stomach roadman from the ends talk

Man up ffs. Basically this group of players beat Wolves and took Man Utd to pens last season, we've since added a huge upgrade on O'Hare and of course Grimes too. We were missing some key players in that away game at thier shit pit, plus we're just iffy away generally... Wembley is different, our fans will absolutely drown theirs out.
First things first, lets skittle Blunderland tonight.

There are people who said Dasilva’s was a red, but Dickie’s wasn’t.

Make it make sense.
I've seen Bristol City fans saying he shouldn't have been given the game as he's given 4 red cards in his last 4 games... Why is that relevant if they're correct decisions? It actually should have been 5 reds in 4 games as Jones should have walked for Luton vs us. Surely a ref prepared to give the big decisions is a good thing?

11 days between the semi and the final. It shouldn’t make much difference.

Blatant red card for the Bristol player, double jeopardy is for genuine attempts to win the ball for things like miss timed tackles.

If the scenario plays our exactly the same but the Bristol player doesn't wrap his legs around and play the ball after the foul, it would still be a penalty and red card and nobody would be saying it was controversial. The fact that he's played the ball after the foul is clouding people's judgement.
Yeah it’s a misunderstanding of the law and an inconsistency with some professional refs that leads to the confusion

I beg your pardon?

Coventry City spend = £21.25m - Coventry City - Transfers 24/25
Sunderland = £11.75m - Sunderland AFC - Transfers 24/25

In the end we had a net transfer spend in - in other words we spent nothing.

Dont compare Sunderland AFC to the parachute clubs - we have no money and I'm not really sure where you thought we did have money?

Where on earth did you get the idea that we had spent twice as much as moneybags Coventry City?

Probably half of our team comes from our academy system.

Interesting b being on this board for a few days because you dont half make some wild unsubstantiated statements.

There was one yesterday about the press seemingly being all over Sunderland....yet everywhere I look we haven't been given the lickings of a dog by the press. It's all - Frank Lampard's Coventry City this and that.

Haha OK now do when we haven’t just had a windfall and rebuilt the entire squad.

We did get proper taken apart at their place though. That’s what worries me. They seemed very happy with Lampard tactics of a high line and lots of possession and just picking us off at will.
