Collins 6, not much to do
Lati 6
Thomas 6, defensively ok, passing very poor at times
Kitching 5, OG didn’t help his mark
Bidwell 5.5, pretty nondescript
MVE 5, forgot to bring his first touch with him
Eccles 7, thought he did well today
Sheaf 5.5, just not on it
Wright 5.5, bit like Sheaf
Palmer 6, bright 1st half, not everything came off for him
Simms 7, worked hard without much support. Shaded MoM for me.

Tavares is a no from me, 4
COH, bit better, 5.5
Torp, thought he did ok, 6
JDS, 5

I’d go along with this pretty much

His crosses were shit, let’s be honest, all aimless floaty and overhit. He’s not a winger in a million years.

There were a couple of decent ones.

Sounds weird but I’d rather see him down the middle and Simms out right than visa versa, though I just don’t think he’s suited to a three. His pace is seen as his big asset but I think he’s a poacher.

Kitchings finish for the first goal reminded me of Dabo at Bristol City in our first season back in the championship. A bizarre attempt at a clearance.

Are you thinking of Dabo at Oxford in L1?

Should have kept it lower into the bottom corner, less chance for Collins to save it then.

He was probably closer to a 5, but gave him the benefit of the doubt for at least trying to make things happen even if they didn't come off.

Wright was quiet and Bidwell could have done better for both goals.

Wasn’t the first from a corner?

Pretty poor today. Passing was atrocious by players throughout the team. Luckily other teams slipped up too and hopefully Leeds can beat Hull tonight.

Collins 6 couldn't do anything about the OG
Lati 5 don't really rate him
Thomas 6 fell apart towards the end
Kitching 4
Bidwell 5 bowler had the beating of him
MVE 6.5 positive and got a good assist
Eccles 7 MOTM for us
Sheaf 5 one of his poorer games
Wright 5 looks knackered
Palmer 5 started well but very poor after our goal, lost the ball that led to corner for first Cardiff goal I think
Simms 7 worked their defence and some good hold up play, great strikers goal

Tavares 4 joker
COH 5 not involved
Torp 6.5 looked good when he came on
JDS 6

Bizzare game as after the first 20 minutes and the goal I thought it would go onto be a comfortable win. Not entirely sure what changed other than giving away a silly equaliser out of nowhere which rattled us way too much.

Collins - 6 - understandably was more direct/hurried in possession today. Hopefully gives him a boost.

Lati - 5 - defensively pretty sound, and tried to make things happen offensively but his passing was terrible.

Kitching - 5 - didn’t realise in real time what had happened for either goal. The first is an absolute shocker and entirely unforced.

Thomas - 5 - forgotten how to pass.

Bidwell - 5 - quiet.

Sheaf - 6 - poor in possession and looked more emotive and frustrated than usual. Still constantly wanted the ball though and as ever never hid.

Eccles - 7 - continues to show more offensively and was busy today. Never going to be a match winner and people shouldn’t expect and therefore judge against that.

MVE - 6.5 - his ‘trapping’ the ball first touch rarely works. Doing a good job occupying space and worrying defenders with his pace, but doesn’t have the skill to take people on and create in that way.

Palmer - 6 - hard to judge. Consistently tried to be positive with the ball and make things happen, and in doing so looked our most creative player but nothing really came off for him today. His passing and decision making (goal aside) were poor.

Wright - 5.5 - tough to rate again. Tried but didn’t make anything happen, too reactive today. Possibly tired.

Simms - 6.5 - another (well taken) goal along with good hold up and link play. Quiet at times, but he’s relying on service which was lacking today.

Subs

Torp - 6 - tried to play forward, but looks as though his confidence has taken a knock. Awful free kick.

JDS - 5.5 - got skinned within a minute of being on, but was tidy on the ball offensively which is why he was put on.

COH - 5.5 - tried but don’t remember him adding much other than a scramble in the box. Came on way too late to be fair to him.

Taveres - 6 - again, tried to play positively and was direct. End product is hit and miss but he was keen to get involved and didn’t look miles out of place.

Such a shit, disappointing afternoon.

Tavares looks hopelessly out of place and for a team trying to make the play offs it’s borderline ridiculous he’s even a consideration

Thomas 7 good cover defending
Sheaf 5 bad day passing off
Eccles 7 work rate
Van ewijk 5 fuck off
Wright 6 tried but leggy
Palmer 4 do not know where to start, idiot

Can’t blame him for that really, but should have been prepared to make subs early, especially for the international lads. That was the really baffling decision.

Eccles easily our best player today. Palmer, aside from the goal was poor, and although Sheaf did some great pieces of skill he was also poor.

I think it was a game too far for the three internationals who were all less effective than usual.

To take a positive - we were shocking after the 1st own goal and we were still the better team by miles.

that finish by kitching was sublime.
