Eccles was alright.
Simms played well.
Tavares did alright when he came on.

Kitching what the fuck?
MVE looks very slow
Palmer trying everything wrong every time. Too many touches for no reason.

Should have made the subs 10 minutes before instead of messing about.

Simms 7 still needs work on close control

Tavares 2

O’Hare 2 not Gunna be popular but his head isn't in it and movement was poor

Think we have a great starting 11 but that's it we have nothing from the bench.

But 2/10 poor? Kitching who scored twice for the wrong team gets a higher rating

Did they offer anything? Did desilva put a cross in or pass it back to someone else? Did ohare float into space or just keep running into trouble. Did tavares offer anything positive? The subs were poor when we were chasing the game therefore made us a worse team.

Even if all of that is true it isn’t worthy of a 2. Most of the side today was at 5 or 6

Tavares put a few good crosses in and was direct.

Sixes and sevens for me. Thought Eccles was our best player. Probably a game too far for the internationals. Thomas is adding consistency and let’s not forget Van Ewijk is doing a job out of position

That attempted lob tho when the goalie was 4 yards off his line....

Teams set up to cross from the right to let wright drift in and for Simms to make/find space in the middle
Whoever is behind wright needs to cover both his defensive and attacking dutys.
The attacking mid needs to float on that right hand side to offer the overlap or a 1 2.

Surprised at low scores for Thomas, I thought he was excellent, particularly 2nd half.

Lots of sloppy passing all over the pitch and 2 unlucky individual mistakes, but still some positives. I thought Ellis holding up was good, Kasey tried to be positive but unfortunately some didn't quite come off, I thought Eccles was excellent out of possession and Milan put some decent balls in. I think scores are results orientated and I'd give a bunch of 6s with 7 for Ellis.

He was probably closer to a 5, but gave him the benefit of the doubt for at least trying to make things happen even if they didn't come off.

Wright was quiet and Bidwell could have done better for both goals.

What can Bidwell do about Kitching aiming for top bins in his own goal?

Costly to lose from one up and Sky Blues looked the better team.

My observations, just too elaborate and intricute when in forward positions. Delay and most chances are then covered by a defence. I know our goal was a nice move but overall just take too long.

I had a great view of Liam's calamity for first goal and just too far away for 2nd to see what happened.

Negatives
Jake Bidwell didn't play very well at all today. Kasey should have gone off sooner and Wright might have been better as a sub.

Positives
Simms getting better but shows too much of the ball to defenders.
Taveres did reasonably well.
Josh Eccles heavily involved in game.

Even you must think this is funny now, the poor fella would be your specialist subject on Mastermind. Either that or he’ll have to file a restraining order.

Not miss the ball then get outmuscled by the goalscorer ideally. It wasn't a clanger by any means, but Dasilva would have got pilloried for it.

He allowed the cross far too easily for the second, that one was much worse.

His crosses were shit, let’s be honest, all aimless floaty and overhit. He’s not a winger in a million years.

Collins 6, not much to do
Lati 6
Thomas 6, defensively ok, passing very poor at times
Kitching 5, OG didn’t help his mark
Bidwell 5.5, pretty nondescript
MVE 5, forgot to bring his first touch with him
Eccles 7, thought he did well today
Sheaf 5.5, just not on it
Wright 5.5, bit like Sheaf
Palmer 6, bright 1st half, not everything came off for him
Simms 7, worked hard without much support. Shaded MoM for me.

Tavares is a no from me, 4
COH, bit better, 5.5
Torp, thought he did ok, 6
JDS, 5

Trying to block Kitching's wonderful finish out of my mind!

Yeah, sorry, meant the guy that swivelled on the ball and was about to score until Kitch decided he fancied leathering one in.
