Second one the adrenaline is kicking in and he's enthusiasticly dived in from about 8 yards to presumably block the clearance. It was comical but it wasn't sinister. The ref could have easily given him a final warning to calm down. He'd been on about 6 minutes. Having said that I totally see why he went. It was reckless and comical.

Most defences will look dodgy at times at Pompey this season mate but yes I agree at times i thought Hyam’s calmness would be better suited.It was the first game they were put under any pressure, and they looked very dodgy, hopefully they will learn from it.
Just out of interest, I also thought the central defence looked very dodgy against Southend, in the last 15 minutes when we were put under pressure, Southend were gifted 2 or 3 free headers and should of scored.Most defences will look dodgy at times at Pompey this season mate but yes I agree at times i thought Hyam’s calmness would be better suited.
