Young English goals and assists from midfield? Got to be £20m hasn’t it?
IF, and it's a big IF, we had to sell him and we let him go for much less than £15m, King would have a lot of scrutiny and questions would seriously need raising.

He's fucking mustard.
We will do well hold onto him if we don't go up. But if that happened I'd want north of 15 mil

No that’s true. But I think that means you need even better individuals if you haven’t got a system. I agree getting someone in who can set up a back four would be the biggest bang for your buck. Don’t know how likely that is tho.
Do you have no self awareness? Literally no one agrees with the majority of the shite that you post, that should tell you something

I'll be honest, the fact that he's not "really" proven. Yes, he's had a fantastic season, but 1 season doesn't automatically mean he'll get prem interest. Even if he does, with the vik money coming in (and hopefully Hamer money when Blumts lose him to Leeds) we shouldn't need to cash in. Especially if we don't go up I'm sure we'll lose MVE so shouldn't need to cash in on both. If that's the case, will he push for a move? I doubt it, he'll wanna stay put with FL and learn. I don't think we'll be in a position of needing to sell him and I can't see him wanting to move on just yet. If we were fail again next season though it might be a different story.

Wilson 8 - did well after a long stint out. Couple of crucial saves and distribution was pretty good too.
MVE 8 - back to what we know he can do.
Thomas 7 - look better with him at the back
Kitching 7 - Solid
Bidwell 7 - solid
Grimes 7.5 - solid
Sheaf 8 - form improving at the right time
Rudoni 9 - no explanation needed for Ma-rudonis performance
Wright 7 - ok, but made some odd decisions when he had options
Simms 6.5 - tale of two halves, good first half and maybe should have scored one of his chances. Right to be subbed in the second half.
Sakamoto 7 - caused boro problems, got the assist for the 1st.

BTA 7.5 - did well
Allen 6 - did enough in the short spell on the pitch
Eccles - as above

Wright always creates some opportunities and also worked back well enough.

Simms was shockingly poor
Yes Wright can be infuriating at times, but always is capable of moments of magic.Simms to me is stealing a living as a professional footballer.
His first touch is so poor, for someone of his size he is easily bullied off the ball,.He hasn't scored for months, even worse he never really looks like scoring . BTA in his cameo posed more threat than Simms has managed in the last 10. games. If we are to realise our dream, we simply can't afford to carry passengers.

Simms is the player I am always willing on. Just desperate for him to do well.

But just how much more patience can we have with him?

The bottom line is he is supposed to be a goalscorer, but his return this year is shocking.

He did have that one great chance after about 4 mins in yesterday and I thought he had scored for a split second, but then after that, he offered pretty much no goal threat.

I would go with him again on Friday though. I think BTA is better when he is not starting.

Simms' career here though, needs seriously looking at in the summer.

Maybe he will do better elsewhere. Maybe he needs to drop down another division in order to thrive.

He's just not physical enough, struggles to retain possession and hold the ball up and he's just not scoring anywhere near enough goals.

You now watch him score on Friday. 😂

My overall thought of him is, that I feel sorry for him, to be honest. He seems a very decent guy and I would love him to succeed here, but it's just not happening, is it, right now

Fully agree. I think his biggest problem is he is too nice. He needs to be able to be aggressive on the pitch and realise it's his job and then Mr nice off the pitch. Do we use sports Psychiatrists at the club?

Yeah, this was frustrating yesterday. It's becoming a bit of a thing with Wright. Need him to make decisions quicker or execute his decision with more urgency. Took too long and took too many touches quite a few times.

It is who he is
He’s a fabulous footballer

I hear you, and I know it's what he's about to an extent, but when he makes quick decisions he's just as effective for me (see: Sunderland).

Need a more even split between him being hyper composed and more explosive. He wasted quite a few great positions yesterday from my POV.

Ultimately you are correct and even if he scores Friday and then at sunderland its hard to see him as a player sustain form long enough to help us in the long run

Hes had a poor campaign , 6 goals is not what we are looking for from our main striker

If a manager can ever get him to have the bit between his teeth he’ll have a cracking centre forward. Nobody has done it so far

Ultimately hes not good enough
I think we need to try this...

A player got concussed during a game playing for Partick Thistle. The physio went on to tend to him and then called over to the bench to say that the player didn't know who he was. The manager, John Lambie, told the physio to tell the player then, that he was Pelé.

We need to make Simms believe he is Harry Kane

Think it’s all psychological

Was on about this yesterday. You hear of some players, who strut about giving it the big shot and though people don't like it maybe you need that attitude.
I see Simms regularly round Earlsdon and he seems very quite, very withdrawn and he looks, for a big guy, as though he wants look smaller and blend into the back ground.
Just seems to be his way.

I expected him to have had another purple patch by now but it just hasn't happened.
