CT suggesting it’s between Shipley and o’hare.

Apart from the fact we're only into October so meaningless, but Mason and Kelly have to be in the reckoning surely?

Mason. Been unplayable at times.
Also, Kelly, much the same as last season, it's no coincidence that our dip in form has been whilst hes been sidelined. Absolutely pivotal to our promotion push and so important we can keep him fit.

Am I right I’m saying Shipley is our only ever present, talking league games. Not the most popular player on here but he’s been consistent so I’d edge it to him.

Considering we had a 10 game unbeaten run and are 3 points off the autos, it's surprisingly slim pickings!

Were greater than the sum of our parts.

I actually find this encouraging because it shows we're a decent team, not reliant on one or two individuals and thus at the mercy of injuries and suspensions that could derail our season.

This is the fault I find in US sports - they can focus heavily on one or two individual 'franchise' players and if they get injured the teams entire season can be over. Plus it gives those individuals massive control and dominance in the changing room, which can be fine if they're a natural leader and motivator but if they're just an egomaniac it'll end in tears.

But they do that for a few reasons.
1. No threat of relegation and associated loss of income, plus they will get a better pick of the draft following year
2. Financially they can make more money off a couple of individuals. Bit like when teams over here have signed a random player from Asia to access that market rather than because he actually improves the squad.

It's also becuase a quarterback is way more important than any player on the pitch. A good QB can make a bad team look good, a bad QB can make a good team awful.

That is correct. But a bad O-line can make a good QB look bad as he's got no protection and gets sacked loads. As can poor wide receivers. Not having a decent RB can make it easier for a defence to guard against a QB and increase the chances of interceptions and turnovers because the QB is forced to throw the ball more often.

Don't get me wrong, the QB is pivotal and as an individual the most important member. But you take the best QB the world has ever seen and surround him with rubbish, he will look rubbish and his stats will look rubbish too.

Not fully sold on O’Hare yet runs about doesn’t seem to create as much as some think for me.

Shipley no chance, don’t rate him at all. Like the shout for Dabo to be fair!

Even in a thread specifically asking who’s been good you can only say who hasn’t been. Genuinely interested to know who you’d pick?

Shipley -consistent and played some lovely passes

Marosi - completely transformed the way we play out of the back

Mason - valiant defending, very rarely gives it away going forward

I would’ve voted Westbrook if he’d played more but he’s been player of the season for me over the games he’s played in.

Shipley certainly playing a greater role recently than o’hare. We can’t underestimate the impact a decent keeper has either

O'Hare?? Lol is that based on 3-4 games?

Kelly, Shipley, Dabo, Mason and Marosi have been outstanding this season.

It’s too early as if Godden starts to score goals forwards get the headlines

he’s a one in two game scorer at other clubs so could end up nearly on 20

Without Walsh in midfield I think we’d struggle a bit so I hope he’s not recalled

Arguments for so many players in so many different positions.... it’s a great problem to have.

Shippers or Marosi for me. But it could easily be 3 or 4 others.
