There are some amazing wood carvings in Parkhurst Forest (behind the famous prison). Here's just a few of them...……..

Love shots like that. The amount of times I'd considered buying a tripod just to try that

I was a bit unsure of what I was doing ajsccfc, but I just played around with different settings. I bought a really nice tripod (on the IoW) for 30 quid a few years ago. Well worth getting one. Do you have remote control?

And here's one alongside the River Medina in Newport...…. an eel! (The eel is actually made of stone!)

No, don't have any kind of equipment at all nowadays. One day I'll get back into it properly I hope

You should. It's a great pastime. I'm no expert, but love taking shots of all sorts. I've bought an intervalometer, a remote control and a tripod along with a couple of lenses and filters. All this was over a two year period, but I'm quite happy with what I now have (although I get a tad envious of some great zoom shots I've seen!). If you spread the costs over a period of time it ain't too bad. Then take yourself out and click away! Coventry and Warwickshire has some beautiful countryside and surroundings. It depends on what you want to photograph. Best wishes in your venture if you take it up again! (I even tried some time-lapse stuff! I'll find it out and put it up.)

I did it at school and kept it up but it's been more a casual thing so haven't been able to put much into it. Got it all planned for a few years time though. Walking football, photography, disapproving of the youth of the day. Can't wait!

...….. and this was my 2nd. (one photo every 30 seconds) There are variations in light due to the movement of the bloody sun outside! Lol!

...… and then I tried some time lapse on a daffodil in our front room. This took bloody hours! (I've looped it a bit as well, because it was over too bloody quick!)

Reminds me of that scene in the film "The Time Machine" where the shop window keeps changing over the years.

I never noticed the light changing in just an hour. You only notice things like that in time lapse.

I always appreciate a landscape where the horizon is perfectly level. Well done on those nice shots.

The World's tallest thermometer, Baker, California. Taken a few weeks ago.
It's 134 ft tall and is registering 104 degrees Fahrenheit, 40 Celsius).
Wikipedia has a page about it if you are curious.

Fish statue in a lily pond at Santa Barbara Zoo, California.
It's a wonderful zoo if you ever get the chance to go there.
Some kid next to me was blowing bubbles and I caught one in this shot.

Balconies, taken in Santa Barbara, Califorina.
I've never seen a place with such lovely buildings and lush greenery.
It's a photographer's paradise.

I did a photography series of Coventry when the council were bidding for City of Culture. Thought process behind it was although there is a lot of good in our City, it doesn't give an excuse for the council to ignore major problems such as homelessness, abandoned buildings, and problem areas. might continue it now and get some other photographers involved.

A few flowers, all taken in California in June. I'm no botanist so I don't know what they are.

I like the way you got down to ground level, especially for that last shot.

Really like the second one and the randomness of the cluster of colour, nature doing it's thing.
Doubt many humans could achieve that.
