Reckon we’ll nick this 2-1 too much arrogance round here for me, Oxford are a decent side and know how to snatch a game especially with Rowet in charge. Just got to stay focussed and fight for the win, Wright and Torp to score with them to score a set piece goal last 10 minutes to create the most dramatic end to the game where we look like the struggling side after dominating most of the game

I don’t think there is arrogance. There’s tongue in cheek comments but generally it’s accepted that this is a game we usually blow up spectacularly with a lot of huffing and puffing before succumbing to a 1-0 loss

were a free flowing attacking side but we’re all aware of the type of tactics we’re gonna come up against and we’re all aware that it usually beats us

much will depend on the first 25 mins. If we can get ahead, we’ll steamroller them. If not it’ll become nervier as the game goes on

I fear this game has bore draw all over it.
I think Oxford will want to stop the rot. And will park the bus, and we will struggle to break them down.

Im hoping we get our noses in front early on and then it could be a different story.
But it could be a lot more difficult than people expect.

Haji bossed the game at the CBS last season, they'll be very wary of him so it should leave lots of space

2-0 - Haji brace

Rushworth

MvE Thomas Kitching DaSilva

Torp Grimes

BTA Rudi EMC

Wright

Subs: Wilson, KKH, Sheaf, Sakamoto, Raphael, Andrews, Simms, Bidwell

The squad as a whole looks a lot stronger with Sheaf/Saka on the bench - add in Lati/Eccles + Hughes/another attacker and you’d find it hard to see a better squad in the division.

Same team, and similar score in that we will concede one. How many for us? 2 or 3.

I'm feeling confident of a win today. Boys will show up again i reckon a 1-3 win. Just think we will have to outscore opponents this year as can't see us keeping things tight and getting clean sheets

Actually quite a big test today I think. Sort of game we struggled with last year away from home with expectation on us and a team trying to get a point and the sort of game we need to win if we want to be top 4. Will be interesting to see how we set up against a low block.

Arrogance? That's Birmingham. Still not done a lot yet expect to walk to the Prem.

Ours is confidence which has been earned. We were unlucky not to score against Hull but then scored 12 goals in the next 2 games. We're playing a side without any points and are not bottom because of how poor Sheffield United have been. It would be unrealistic to expect us to lose.

We should win today. None of their players would get into our side. But that's not how football goes especially away from home.

Wasn't the win at Oxford the last one of the winning run last season?

if we want to finish higher this season this is one of those games we should be winning, even if we play awful and nick a 1-0, 2 more signings and we’re looking very strong, 3-1 cov

Yeah should be a banker so I’m expecting a sweaty 1-0 to Oxford.

Agree same team as QPR. Ideally we can get through unscathed, win the game and have two weeks with our amazing new signings to bed in and our injuries to subside a bit.

Want to win one of this and Norwich though so we’ve got 10 from our first 5.

Hoping the team don’t go away on holiday during this break. I do feel that has contributed to our poor starts in previous seasons.

Didn't they have a heavy home defeat at home in the league cup 0-6 ( probably mostly their 2 Nd 11 )So will be aiming to make up for that so expect a tough game today.

Not sure, was less about Oxford and more generally about teams that don’t want to play football against us. Though I do think the 532 worked well against those teams as well.

We made hard work of both games last season, hopefully a bit more straightforward today. Oxford are a decent side but id be disappointed with anything less than a win really

Read that if we score twice, it will break the record for the most goals ever scored in the first 4 matches of a championship season?
