I'll be glad to get to Monday night so i don't have to keep opening this thread 😂

Forget Gus, never happening.

Been really keen to see us go for Boving but too much interest from elsewhere so not holding out any hope on this now.

Got this niggling feeling very little will happen and there will be an awful lot of disappointed people by 7pm on Monday.

I’ve just watched the Brighton Oxford highlights. They had a fair few chances and the Brighton keeper (who was obviously rated higher than Rushworth) made some great saves, so it’s not going to be easy.

I think if we score an early goal, it will be another mauling on the cards. They are low on confidence and fragile and got pumped 6-0 in the week. If we turn up, it’s a comfortable win.

Que 1-0 defeat!

Long shot and don’t normally ask, but I don’t suppose anyone has a spare ticket for this? Would appreciate if anyone happens to, to let me know. Couldn’t make it originally but I can now 🤞 Thanks!

Turns out I've been scheduled to go visit my mom midday tomorrow, followed by dinner with my brother and wife at the steakhouse (my wife sets my social calendar then tells me afterward).
Safe travels to all going, enjoy yourselves. If you need a reason to pre game a second, third, fourth pint, feel free to do it in honor of those like me who will be missing out. Maybe get a chance to watch the replay on Sunday I hope.

Looking forward to an 8-0 win. More realistically, with the right starting line up methinks a comfortable 2-0 win. Rudoni for at least one, maybe Wright the other.

Last Saturday against Birmingham they played with a low block and basically “parked the bus”. I’m wondering if they’ll do that in a home match?
I’m confident of a city win, but think it might be more difficult than we expect.
Hopefully, we get a couple of first half goals that force them to shift tactics

This will be a big test.
Playing against a low block away from home with a 4 at the back was,a bit of an achilles heel last season
This game should tell us more about our seasons prospects than hammering QPR last week.

If we get 2 ahead it's done, the longer Oxford are at least within 1 goal will be nervy as they are basically a set piece team and we've seen how we've dealt with that recently.

Reckon we’ll nick this 2-1 too much arrogance round here for me, Oxford are a decent side and know how to snatch a game especially with Rowet in charge. Just got to stay focussed and fight for the win, Wright and Torp to score with them to score a set piece goal last 10 minutes to create the most dramatic end to the game where we look like the struggling side after dominating most of the game

This will be much tougher than people expect. Those predicting we win 4-0 etc will be in for a rude awakening
