This is Haji’s longest baron spell since he’s been at the club, 14 games he’s now played without a goal. Most strikers have bad patches , he will be fine
Hopefully at another clubThis is Haji’s longest baron spell since he’s been at the club, 14 games he’s now played without a goal.
This isn’t just a bad patch unfortunately, he’s missed guilt edge chances.
He’s only contributed one assist in those 14 games and the matches in which he’s contributed a good performance can likely be counted on one hand.
No matter what way you look at, it’s a problem and for Haji’s sake he needs a spell on the bench.
And for the clubs sake, this isn’t a rehearsal for the promotion it could be our only chance in decadesThis is Haji’s longest baron spell since he’s been at the club, 14 games he’s now played without a goal.

Totally agree. They've both improved with Grimes but I'm not impressed. Haven't seen enough of Woolfenden to pass judgementCB is by far our weakest position.

Btw if it isnt just a bad patch then what is it ? Not sure i understand what youre sayingThis is Haji’s longest baron spell since he’s been at the club, 14 games he’s now played without a goal.

Haji is not the player we need Haji to be.Btw if it isnt just a bad patch then what is it ? Not sure i understand what youre saying
Haji is not the player we need Haji to be.
Haji was brought in for big money, to replace a player who was one of the best players for this club post Premier League era and despite having 40 goals in 106 games he’s flattered to deceive.
As I’ve said in previous posts, Haji is highly inconsistent in his goal scoring patches, but more than that when he’s not scoring goals, he’s not contributing with assists, notable performances, or anything of note. He’s offered 1 assist in 14 games where’s he scored 0.
The player we need, needs to be influential in as many moments we need him, whether that’s turning in performances where he looks a constant threat and is dangerous, or providing assists for team mates, or better yet scoring goals - right now he’s doing none of the three.
Gyokeres didn’t always score goals, but he provided assists and looked more of a threat going forward which allowed other players to excel - I see none of this with Haji currently.
Players go through baron spells you’re right, but they usually offer something of note. Haji is not, we can’t keep defending him on this.
You know me personally off this forum, you know I’ve been all over the country supporting the club and its players for many years (even in the worst times), like you and many others, I’m not the type of person who usually jumps onto a player with such ease or frustration, but with Haji, I’m sorry to say his attitude looks all wrong and of an individual who doesn’t want to be here, which shows in his performances and I’m at a point where you take what you can get and see him move on.
I thought but was his best game for ages, apart from that header.Maybe it was just me, but I thought Wright looked lively. Simms will (and should) start next Saturday, but Wright will come again.
Our weakest position is left back. Can’t see how there can be much of a debate.
I wouldn't consider people raging at the results as being happy. As you say some were moaning when we were winning nearly every game.So you cant be happy being 1st, and be pissed at poor performances at the same time?
I mean, a month ago people were saying, we're 12 points clear and people still finding things to moan about.
Then, we're 10 points clear...
We're 8 points clear...
How long, on this current run of form until its, we're 3 points behind second?
20 months ago Simms & Wright terrorised the Wolves defence, so I don't agree with that. The way Frank likes to play, the central striker is not always going to blossom. We have a fox in the box in Simms. We have a pacey forward in Haji, and we have the energy of BTA. Of course we could upgrade, but to get better than any of those 3 would cost £15-20 million minimum. Sell Wright, and tempt Josh Sargent from Norwich. That's one move I'd be happy with.Yes Simms has a decent goals/mins ratio.
Yes Wright has 8 and "the boys are backing him"
But neither are ruthless/hungry enough to get us over the line.
They are too soft and have zero killer instinct.
We needs somebody who has a real presence and a strikers instinct. No idea who - but I'd honestly have Bamford and Piroe in over either of these two and be more confident of us converting balls into the box and ruthlessly putting away loose balls (a fair few at Charlton after good saves that out forwards just stared at)
Honestly, embarrassing. We've got three strikers among the top five scorers in the division FFS.A month ago people wanted £20m+ for Wright and now it’s apparently our weakest position in the squad![]()
I think the main problem is the hold up play is not good enough. Not sure this will go down well with some. But it's there for all to see.
Out Weakest position currently, on form, is up front. You can all belly ache as much as you want, but they aren't top 2 material there.
We'd be miles clear with an effective forward.
CB is by far our weakest position.
