Bring in Ambrose as a goal scoring midfielder, Phillips and i'd probably take webber - could come good if he's playing week in week out. And he wont score many goals but i hear michael brown is going on a free, sick of him playing dirty against us..rather he did it for us.

There are quite a few decent lower league strikers:

Lee Tomlin (Posh)
Jordan Rhodes (Huddersfield)
Pilkington (Huddersfield)
Gary Madine (SHeff Wed)
Dean Bowditch (Yeovil)

Can anyone think of any more?

Don't tell me he is good now??!!

13 goals in 43 League games last season for Carlisle and Sheffield Wednesday.

Also got 5 goals in 3 FA Cup games, although 4 of these were against a team called Tipton Town. The 5th was against Tamworth.

Just remind me what our Number 9's record was last season .......13 in?

Don't forget we are looking for a replacement, not someone half as good.

Never mentioned him as a replacement. Not good enough for the Championship, was just relaying the stats for those who didn't know.

Edit: Does have to be said, Madine is 20. When King played in 01/02 aged 22 I think(?) he managed 17 in 32 in the Championship. Madine didn't do as well, and is in a lower League, but who knows where Madine may end up in a couple of years. He may still come good.
