I think robins knows it may not be that bad and if he says 2-3 weeks o’hare will be ready the vultures will start circling again and he doesn’t want to encourage it again. Just my thoughts…

Loving the idea of everyone lying to him though. Leg in plaster “no worries Cal, just a scratch, back training tomorrow”

It is strange how they haven't even said what the injury is .How long does it take to have a scan see specialists.

Something isn’t right. 100% sure if that. Every other injury last season robins gave a diagnosis and a timescale.
My best bet is is less than 3 weeks until the window shuts and whatever he has is being nurtured through till then.

The issue with this type of injury is that it is difficult to give an exact timescale, due to the internal bleed, which can hide the extent of the damage. Therefore, I don't think that MR knows yet the depth of the injury.
If the club blindly made an assessment of "X" weeks without taking into account the specifics of the injury, then he could break down again,

If only MR could put it over like that

Not the same injury but Godden has had a unknown duration more than once & Kelly has never had timeframes due to him being the slowest healer in pro football!

conspiracy theories are true, what is the betting that on the 2nd Sept cal is back in training and maybe ready for our trip to Norwich, or will feature in our home game against West Brom the following week

Robins said last week that O'Hare didn't have any pain but there was some bruising (suggesting a tear) but stopped short of actually saying that, I wouldn't be surprised if he's back in September

Correct and he also said there is a lot of bruising down the back of the leg. Until that settles we can't get a proper analysis of the injury. So it will be at least 7 days before we can get a proper scan.

It also wont be like he has received no treatment for the injury.

Tbf the whole grading system for muscle injuries is pretty shitty in terms of accurate timeframes for return to sport. Nowadays we often use something like the British Athletics muscle injury classification guide which is based more on the anatomy of the injury, but isn't much better.

It's still odd that Robins hasn't at least aknowedged the fact that the bleeding means it is probably a fairly significant injury (at least grade 2 in old money)... My guess would be that it's to do with influencing potential suitors transfer activities one way or another.

Burnley: "Callum, do you want 50k a week"
OHare: "No, I really don't"
Robins: "Going to need to fake an injury so you don't get sold to them and earn an obscene amount of money"
Ohare: "OK, I will sit at home for 2 months boss"

"Callum can you please tell Burnley your injured or don't feel well or something? Don't tell them we told you though"

I suspect that the medical team do have a reasonable idea of the extent of the injury
But they are not speculating publicly until the bruising/inflammation settles down and further checks can be done
You can't argue with that really

Eh? It's a hamstring injury and a diagnosis given to a patient is between doctor and patient, they don't need to disclose it to anybody
Fully understand that just normally Robins says a bit more perhaps he's pissed off he couldn't go to Burnley and they've had a fall out. Obviously I don't know and not trying to stir shit .

More likely, he doesn't want to let on to Burnley that the injury is mild before the window closes.

I think some people are being a bit naïve. If Burnley are genuinely interested in him and want to know the extent of O’Hare’s injury they’ll be able to find out. Kompany isn’t sat there thinking ‘damn it why won’t Robins give a timescale on the injury, how on earth will we ever find out now’

Sponge from a cold bucket of water directly placed on the injury then run it off. Later to be replaced by a spray carried on by the guy who's also running the line.
Grab yourself one of these lad and get back out there. Don’t tell the others you’ve had one otherwise they’ll all be hobbling over.

Exactly. Like his agent wouldn't have been keeping Burnley up to date anyway.
