Make Cole permanent.
Sign Elliot Ward
Sign a physical striker (someone like a Grant Holt, not neccarsily him but someone in that mould)

And that should see us through to the Championship.

Michael Smith from Swindon, was banging them in last season and now just come back from a failed loan I saw. Didn't we bid for him 3 times last year as well?

I wonder if we'll go back to Spurs again for a few players: (http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/sp...news/coventry-city-boss-tony-mowbray-10019107)

Oduwa and Ball now at Rangers on season long loans and Azzaoui at Wolfsburg permantely, much to the bemusement of Mowbray.

Steve McLaren has mentioned in the press that Armstrong is in his plans for next season and will be integrated into their 1st team squad then. He wants Arma to develop at Coventry.

Good news.

I would like Michael Smith here. It was announced today that Barnsley were not taking up their option to sign him from Swindon. I think we need this option when teams sit deep against us.

Seen a rumour that Moussa is coming back on loan. Moose, moose, moose. Who would be going back to need him though? Kent?

Saw that about Moussa. Has he been injured at Charlton?

His career seems to have gone down hill...

He was injured last season but I don't he think is now. Like baker league one is his level he's never really succeeded at the level above.

Not sure many people are saying that to be fair, Shmmeee. Just when asked who we need to get rid of, many are saying that he's the sort of player we need to be looking to offload.

This applies to soo many players, especially forwards. If we do go up having them all on loan may well be a master stroke.

Though TM has said he was looking anyway because of losing Ben Turner anyway, so not so sure.

We certainly don't need Pennington. He was okay, but he's not the dominating CB we need.

Yep, good call. He did well for us. Only as a Martin replacement though. He's not the big brute TM has alluded to re the Reda/Turner role.

He's doubtful for Crewe apparently but it doesn't appear to be too serious

Not what we need, and I can't see Everton sending him here to sit in the bench.

I don't get why people want Cole permanently? He hasn't really done anything at all so far? His set pieces yes, are inch perfect. But in open play he goes missing way too often for a number 10. Loved him in his Chelsea days, but I think if it's a choice between Cole and 2 centre backs rather than one coming in. I think defence needs to take priority.

I think based on this fact that we seemingly haven't seen this best of him yet due to lack of match fitness.

Also, I get this irresistible inkling that TM will try and convert Cole to Fleck's position...cos I do fear that the ginger jackhammer is on his way.

Completely disagree. Fleck has a good chance of playing well in the Championship. Cole is no longer Championship standard. He'll be 35 next year!

I think you misunderstood, I meant that in the event of Fleck leaving in January (which is a possibility), TM would consider sticking Cole in the deep-lying playmaker role. Might not work, might not even transpire, it's just a feeling I've got.

Dennis Wise did okay in the Championship, as did McAllister and Strachan, all of which were older than Cole.

I think we will sign Dion Charles this January from AFC Flyde. He has 10 goals from 20 games so far playing in midfield. Mowbray/Venus wanted to take him on trial a few months back

I reckon we should get Nahki Wells from Huddersfield. Bit ambitious but he would do well

What happened with Charles? In Sept both City and Cardiff were looking to maybe sign him. It's now January and he's still at Flyde. Wonder why.

Maybe as his new year's resolution he'd like to go back and help a third world country.
