Of course it is a joke, however, I cannot understand the hatred aimed at Wasps as a club by some City fans. A few years ago our 'enemy' was SISU for what they were doing, and not doing, to our club. Fast forward to now and all that anger and loathe is against Wasps, and why?

They are just a club, like us, but of a different sport. They were homeless for years and when the opportunity came to buy a ground they jumped at it. Wasps RFU club are not the problem, CCC were and are. SISU have not changed their tune and the only reason they have been forgiven in a few people's eyes is the fact they won the lottery with the apponitment of MR and AV. MR has single handed taken us to another level, not Joy, or Boddy or Fisher. If it wasn't for MR we would possibly be looking at playing Leamington soon.

This fiasco about the pitch should be the influence SISU need to make the new mythical ground with University of Warwick become a reality. They moaned about being in Birmingham and said the reason for leaving the Ricoh was to be able to get their own finances. Yes, right!!

So I would say to people stop blaming Wasps for every pit fall CCFC are faced with. Let's pressure SISU to build the stadium. We deserve it.

I have no inside info, but I suspect that the reappointment of MR coincided with two other related things - JS getting more involved after the relegation to L2 - at the expense of her boot boy Fisher. I think she has taken a more strategic view of the Club, obviously encouraged by MR's success. JS and MR seem to be able to work together, TF could never work with anybody. The relegation to L2 gave SISU a fright.
Just a theory

Might be something in this, I asked someone who states they have connections….his reply

Heard arena is, think rugby club is separate but not sure. Mate who knows says basically COVID has destroyed business plan and stadium repairs too much

then this

Mate says heard nothing but the owner has stopped two player signings in last two weeks and apparently season ticket sales are at 5,000 tops and other income streams from stadium complex like hotel, casino and conferences have dried up and they made huge part of business plan so little to no income due to Covid

shit for their fans tbh, they aren’t to blame

He's obviously not that well informed as the business was up shit creak pre covid

I think if CCFC had struck a secret deal with their local council without mentioning it to them, to move into their stadium they would have good reason to hate us.
Just because our owners are C---S, doesn't make theirs any less so.
I will stop blaming Wasps when they stop deserving it.

Couple of Interesting points from Bobby Bridge's new article:
- No denial from Wasps or "Cov Live understands it's not true' about the freeze on signing players
- They have no Digital team anymore. Comms Manager + Social Media manager both left, job ads to replace them have been taken down and replaced by one for an unpaid Volunteer Matchday Media Officer

Don’t worry we still don’t like SISU…. We just need the current landlords to piss off and a buyer seems more likely

just remember they worked themselves into a situation and tried to take advantage of our fights with the owners and the council…

the snakes deserve to be bitten in this.

Again, even if it is true. Remember when people got excited about SISU going because of Administration???

If it did, I'd feel for the original fans who would be losing their club. (Not the ones who bought a hat and waved a free flag on a freebie).
