I just can’t see it. They will be still in the same position with a huge black cloud hanging over their head, initiated by sisu. Wasps haven’t lost a lot with ccfc not being in cov. CCC havent lost a lot with ccfc not being in cov, ccfc have and continue to lose a lot not being in cov.

Wasps attendances are nosediving in part because of fans of both clubs refusing to play there after kicking us out. It was all over social media when the announcement was made.

If you don't think hundreds of thousands of people over the course of a season spending money in Birmingham instead of Coventry has an impact on the council then there is no hope for you.

Well we pick up an 85 year old lady from her home by the Ricoh to take her to Brum.
Without us she could NOT go, we have to get there for 1.30 to get the parking space we want, it really is a mare.
She is disabled and does not drive.

But most don't. Most away fans never spent that much and home fans are probably being dragged round shopping or taking the kids out which probably keeps more money in the local economy than Corey Addai’s Wonga loan does.

We are definitely losing the most from not being there despite what our egos want to hear.

The facts are we are harming the club short term on the gamble that the legal actions pay off big time long term. Take whatever view you want on that, but that’s the situation.

Yes you can?

You can also park a hell of a lot closer for free.

Don't project that I am saying the move isn't harming the club, that argument you've imagined. I'm taking issue with the assertion that we're the ONLY ones that are being harmed by it.

As do I, but if the others can feel the negative effects of not hosting the club then the long term future might be brighter than the recent past/present.

I think in terms of scale we are definitely being hurt more than the others.

That should be obvious by the fact Wasps feel they can play hardball.

As I say the gamble from us is that the court action will harm them far more than it does us. Short term pain for long term gain

No you can’t, they close the roads around before the game. I had a whole email exchange with the club about this.

I’m not trying to prove a point mate, I’m literally giving you an account of my experiences taking people with limited mobility.

I didn't say we weren't. Why are you digging when there is nothing to dig.

This is why people accuse you of having massive pro council sympathies. An innocuous point about the situation doing nobody any good and it has to be about the club and nothing else.

Im not digging? I’m not making it about the club? Now who is projecting?

Literally neutral on it. I think your point about others feeling the pinch now is wrong is all.

You can drive up to the car park pretty much by b and m?

Not much difference in distance if not less than walking from the road into the Ricoh.

They only close it at the junction that goes up the back of it where the burger van is.

Is still not that far to walk.

Even dropping off in b and m car park isn't that far either

You can park on the other side as well just off the Coventry Road. About 100 yards from the turnstile

In part ?. Ok, question, how many people on here no longer go to wasps due to ccfc being in Birmingham ?.

ive been shouted down several times on this site about the income ccfc brought in locally, and that was before the gap was plugged by wasps.

if you are right, you have to assume CCC recognise the importance and are working with the club on obtaining land to get them back to the city ?

Answer this question then. If no complaint was made to the European court etc would we still be playing at the ricoh? Yes or no. Sisu knew what would happen and gladly gambled with the clubs future again.

Would we be playing in Cov now if Sisu hadn't made the complaint? - Probably
Would we be playing in Cov now if Wasps hadn't insisted on indemnity? - Probably

Can Sisu withdraw the complaint? - No
Can Wasps withdraw the indemnity? - Yes

Hate Sisu as much as you like but our route back to Cov is through Wasps not Sisu.

Exactly

You have people like the Trust saying "lets not talk about the past" so when you point out if Wasps remove the indemnity it then goes to "yeah but SISU did this and that".

What’s your hypothesis then? Wasps are just big meanies and don’t care about legal action on the Ricoh and just pretended they did for laughs?

We know Wasps don’t want the continued legal action, they know they’ve got one lever to pull to stop it and that’s stopping the club playing at the Ricoh. All this “oh technically it’s not legal action” “oh but it’s not a court” is childish and pathetic, we know what their issue is. The fact that the word coming back from those that have spoken to them is they want Sisu to ask for it to be forgotten shows that as well.

If I had to bet I’d say that we’re the indemnity to ever be dropped we still wouldn’t come back because Wasps would be asking for no appeals on any state aid judgement and no further action (whatever that could be) and Sisu would refuse because, they think it’s worth short term harm to the club for them to get the stadium long term. Even though I don’t see how that’s possible or if it was how we’d afford it, but there we go.
