We can win for sure but I wouldn't take beating Sunderland as a given despite their poor form. Its two games and anything can happen.

If we get to the final I'd fancy our chances of beating Bristol, but again its a one off so anything can happen. Would be less confident against Sheff Utd than I was against Luton but I guess at some point we are due some luck. After having to play the last play off final with Vik and Gus not at full fitness and the VAR shambles against Man Utd maybe we're due one.

I think we're a long way from having a squad that has much chance of staying up if we did get promoted but I can't see that changing anytime soon as King isn't going to sanction crazy spending so at some point you have to take your chance and then just hope for the best.

I'm not as worried this time weirdly. Last one felt like it was all or nothing and if we didn't do it we'd lose Gyok & Hamer and never make it there again.

This time I feel like we're a well run club with an air of inevitability about it all. Miss out this time and we may lose people but we'll replace really well and go again. Eventually it'll be our year even if it isn't this one.

On a personal note I think I will actually decide not to come over for a final. £800 flight, about £1,000 in lost work and the cost of a week in the UK is just a bit mad.

It’s all a bonus for me so I’m going in with zero expectation. For a long time this season seemed to have mid table obscurity written all over it so I can’t get disappointed whatever the outcome from here on in.

It feels very different. Last time it just felt so unlikely we would get past Middlesbrough, and we were lucky just to have made the playoffs at all. That Middlesbrough away leg is the most nervous I've ever felt at a football game, and the most I've ever celebrated a goal, I went mental because it just seemed so unlikely we would get a win up there, and the Boro atmosphere was decent tbf to them.

After that I wanted us to do it so badly, for Robins to fulfill the prophecy of taking us all the way back up, and because we knew if we lost it meant we would definitely lose Hamer and Gyokeres (although I knew he would go regardless). We had the apprehension of what would happen when they go, we didn't know King was going to allow us to spend that much of the money and invest most of it pretty well. So we had to do it this time, it was our only chance! The way we lost by Hamer going off injured when I'm certain we'd have won way before penalties if he'd stayed on was a killer blow.

This time, I'm quite at peace with it. If we don't do it, I'm sure we'll have another good go next year. If we sell anyone, it will be on our terms and the money will be reinvested in improving the squad.

I'll be furious if we lose another 2 coin tosses before a penalty shootout though - 1.56% chance of losing 6 in a row!

I may be looking for omens too much but in our last playoff season we finished 5th, was at home first leg /away second and got beat by Luton who finished as the 3rd best team in league, and finished that season vs Boro, Sunderland was in the playoff semi.

One thing is for sure, I dont want to leave Wembley on the losing side again. The last 2 times have been the worst I've ever felt after a game and I cannot be arsed to go through that again

BUT you will leave triumphant at some point.....and all the hard ship will make it the best feeling.

Thats the joy of supporting a team like City, we will always have more heartache, but when those amazing moments come they make it all worth it.
