A bit like the wembley thing?
I take your point entirely.
On the other hand, I'm not sure that "NOPMAFWAWWEAS" will ever catch on.......
The reason I started another thread was because this one was supposed to be on NOPM!... I personally haven't seen any posts on the subject I raised but if you want to censor it that's up to you.We already have this thread so if you can point others out I'll direct them all to this one

To be clear you do run a good forum though.
It isn't permanent. Only people with cotton wool between their ears think it is
If the move to Northampton was permanent, then by definition it would mean they weren't coming back ,ever.the only time it stops being ccfc to me is if it dies, if its permanently in Northampton i may have to take a hiatus and support a pheonix team until they come back,i dunno, cant say till im faced with the dilemma
lets hope it is not permanent though.

I guess so, people can't say if they would go there until we were.
I think if it came out it was 100% that CCFC would stay in Northampton for good then I don't know. It would certainly put me off going a lot more but deep down it would still be the same club, unless it was completely wiped out and started again like MK Dons.

I dont see a stadium being built?
I dont see any confirmed site bought and being prepped for construction
I dont see CCC given planning permission for a stadium INSIDE the city of Coventry
I dont see my team playing at a 32,000 seater stadium that already exists for £150,000
I see my team playing 34 miles away at a 7,000 seater stadium for £170,000
what do you not see here?
I see that a club that relocates on a permanent basis to a town barely able to sustain its own football club has no future, no fanbase and no untapped market to exploit. It is guff of the highest order to suggest there is even the remotest possibility of CCFC being a viable entity long term in Northampton.
I have not ruled out the possibility of attending the odd game at Sixfields. However, if it became apparent that the club might take up permanent residence there I would not go near the place - not a chance, and I would throw my weight behind any phoenix club that emerged.
What we are seeing now is brinkmanship, grandstanding and petulance. I maintain, we will be back at the Ricoh soon enough.
A bit like the wembley thing?
No because we are hardly going to play our home games at Wembley for the next five while the majority of our fans insinuate that we will move there permnamently..
To anyone who goes to Sixfields on here, 'because they just support the club'
Would you 'just support the club' if we moved full time to Sixfields? Or a MKDons like franchise move?
If the answer is no, then surely you don't just support the club, you actually have an affinity to Coventry, so why not show that now??!
If the club stayed in Northampton for good, in what way would it be different to Wimbledon moving to MK Dons. The MK Dons weren't a new club, you don't seem to make any logical sense.
Read the thread then look at my response to Nicks point:facepalm:
A bit like the wembley thing?
MK Dons were founded in 2004.....What I mean is if Coventry were no more and then moved 100 miles of course I wouldn't support them. If it was still the Coventry City club, it would make the decision a lot harder as it would still have the history and the team I have supported since I was a toddler.
I saw your comments, we won't move to Northampton, there are a select few, who insinuate without facts, just assumptions based on there own so called knowledge that we will move to Northampton.
Your use of the Wembley situation has nothing to do with the anything.
I only wanted to find out who would attend Wembley seperately based on their NOPM stance. As you quoted:
This is based solely on one game not a franchising move to Northampton or anywhere else.
What a load of tosh, the same can be said of those only going to away games or to wembley (if we got there).
It's fairly apparent the most vocal if the NOPM crew are members of NOPM for a different reason - they never go anyway.
Garry's eyes are in Spain, Swiss is all vitriol from his chalet and dadgad despite liking to dish it out goes all coy when challenged as to his attendance record.
No doubt Swiss will now come out with his normal angst about me being a super fan but the truth is of you never went anyway the NOPM campaign transfers you from an outsider to a mainstream fan.
Grendel - most disappointed. You fall into the trap you so often chastise others for. Wild speculation no data to establish your claim
I'm a nopm advocate and have been attending for 35 consecutive years as a season ticket holder
How would you classify me?
I don't think there is any doubt that everyone wants it back in Northampton but some people still want to watch their team at Northampton in the interim, some choose not to. People make their choices and shouldn't be shot down for that choice There is a bit of hypocrisy in NOPM but I will goto Wembley if we got there, surely that fills SISU coffers as much as attending S'fields.
Less vocal than for aforementioned who mention moral backbone and courage to define their stance.
Remember I also after similar length of service no longer attend. It's not a badge of honour though just disappointment. Ironically I am more of an advocate as I wouldn't go to Wembley either. I don't, however preach at those who go. That's their choice.

I am starting to think people are turning into robots / cavemen and all they can do is grunt NOPM or SISU OUT all the time. I very much doubt it is hurting SISU more than it is hurting the fans.
If people want to go to Sixfields it is up to them.
NOPM is going make no difference to sisu the losses have been covered so stop trying tell fans what to do i have seen all games and we are playing great football so im not missing out sue to greedy ACL/CCC im right behind this exciting young team i dont like going to northampton but after months of arguing and protests which got us nowhere it time to get behind the lads get to sixfields on sunday and roar the lads to victory PUSB

The MK Dons were the club that moved from Wimbledon, they were not a new club, they just changed their name. In the same way as the LA Rams moved from LA to St.Louis, to become the St Louis Rams, same team same players, playing under a new name. Go to the Anaheim area know and you will struggle to find anybody supporting their old team playing in another City. If in 5 long years time the club is still playing in Northampton, how many people in this City will actually feel that the football club truly represents this City anymore.MK Dons were founded in 2004.....What I mean is if Coventry were no more and then moved 100 miles of course I wouldn't support them.
