They are knocking the block of flats down in Bell Green so the landlords are moving us out gradually. They told me I was top of the list for a decent move, so I said I'd like a bungalow if possible ? First they offered me a few flats to view but I stayed firm and said I'd had enough of living in them now. Anyway my stubbornness paid off and I got the bungalow I wanted. I was told to take a flat and then apply again in 6 months, but sod that I'd never get out, so I stayed firm and moved in a week ago. Down by Cardinal Wiseman fields not far from where I grew up. I thought to get a bungalow you had to be over 70 or physically disabled? Found out that those days are long gone, my neighbours are all ages. Still settling in but hopefully it'll be a good move.
Henley Green side? It's OK round that bit (assuming it's Chelsey Rd way), I used to deliver papers round there

Yes Chelsey Road is opposite the road I'm on. I thought it was Henley Green but it is Potters Green. I've only been here a week but already bumped into a few people I know. Seems fairly quiet in contrast from where I've come from so far. Strange hearing bird song in the morning, usually I get woken by pigeons !

Is it really? You learn something new every day, I suppose though the Wiseman grounds are Potters Green and you can probably see the fence from your place! My grandad had one of the similar bungalows on Broad Park Rd, it had a decent sized garden as well from memory

People's children. Well done for getting laid and making an annoying little potato.

Agreed.

I've had to act interested on a few occasions during lockdown whilst my colleagues appear with a child on their lap during a Teams meeting.

I really don't need to see your crotch goblin.

I did the papers for 'the other side' of the Black Pad on Woodway Walk - I remember delivering to a lady at the edge of Woodway Walk and thinking how isolating/scary it must be to be on the edge. I think there's been much less antisocial behaviour in that neck of he woods in recent years, but back when they built that park with all of the playing equipment, there was a lot of antisocial behaviour.

Tbh these days compared to the 90s I think are tame. The black pad was like a motocross place with all the scramblers on it, not to mention burnt out cars being dumped.

The “child free”. Cheer up you twat, you didn’t arrive fully formed on the earth spouting shite either. You aren’t special or interesting for not having grown up enough to fulfil literally the point of your existence.

Always feel they have to tell everyone their opinions while usually whining about children’s noise invading their safe space.

Sorry your junk doesn’t work.

Not so bad these days. Let's face it there's bad parts everywhere you go. You could live in a " posh" area but have the neighbours from Hell next door. I'm just happy to be out of a block of flats and in a fairly rural spot. You get used to anti social behaviour without realising it, it's as if you accept it as part of living where you are. In the block I was in there was a murder, an attempted murder, drunks kipping in the stairwells, a crazy arsonist setting fire to the bins, and youths loitering about. So whatever happens where im living now I reckon ill be able to handle it !

Indeed. It's partly a product of the fact that kids (and adults) nowadays socialise online rather than in person. And now a lot of criminal activity is instead driven underground. Like how that £2 million of cannabis was found in Riley Square a few years back.

Is there still an entry leading to Potters Green Rd BBR? Sounds like Potters Green club's your nearest boozer if so.

Yes it's still there. Had trouble in the Potters Green Club some years back, last time I went in there they were a bit iffy still, so won't be going there. Might try the Boat instead ? Not too bothered at the moment though.

People who go on and on about “not trusting the media” and then tell you about the hours of YouTube videos they watch each day of some bloke ranting in his bedroom.
