Playing Portsmouth, Rotherham, Sunderland and Ipswich in such close proximity is brutal, real make or break stuff for our season. Pick up 7+ points there and we'll be in a great position to do something.

The big question with our home form is 'is it good because it just is, or is it good because we've managed to avoid playing the majority of the good sides there so far'.

Frankly, I’d take 4 points from those games. We don’t necessarily ‘need’ to beat them at this point. We just cannot afford to lose more than 1 of these games.

Three home games, where we’ve only lost once so far, that’s a good place to be!

Such is the problem of being in unfamiliar territory

Indeed. Taking it one game at a time right now.

I’m enjoying this season, glad I’ve got spaces in my rugby calendar that I can go to most of the remaining home games.

We may not go the distance for automatics, but finishing in the playoffs would still be a good achievement, and hopefully a promotion too.

Our record against 'good sides' under Robins is pretty good. 22/42 against the sides who finished above us last season and 18/36 from the rest of the top 7 in our League Two promotion season.

We all know Cov could well fuck up the games against Bolton and Southend. Throughout my support we have always played better against the higher placed clubs in the league and we've struggled so much against the also ran's
I pray we maintain our focus against the bottom two, we only drew against Bolton early on in the season when they played just their kids, so we could struggle.
We all know we could fuck this up and lose to both, its in Covs DNA. I pray we get two wins but it's not a formality

I would say it was in our DNA. This season we have won against our bogey sides, started to win games away and if we go behind we come back to draw or win. MR has installed belief in these players and they are ripping up the Cov DNA negativity.

I remember after beating Stoke that Robins said it was nice to 'remind the footballing world that we exist'. Do the unthinkable under these circumstances and who knows

Watched the match vs Bristol Rovers via iFollow. Thought the conditions with the wind were dreadful and going behind was troubling. But what I like about this team this season is the belief and steely determination to come back time and again. I know we’ve got massive games against all our promotion rivals coming up. We’re playing most of these games at home. So we should make that count and have the fans show up in numbers and cheer us. Couple that with our strong resolve and wonderful brand of football, why can’t we try to beat these other teams? Let’s go for it and c’mon City!!! PUSB!!

I think our toughest test will be Pompey and we were out classed by Rotherham first time round. 5 points minimum to be in play offs and 7 keeps us in autos

While I agree Pompey will be a test I'm not sure Rotherham outclassed us. Yes we were beaten 4:0 but from what I saw sleepy defending and keeping, inexplicably poor back passes and decision making, (some of which was caused by our failure to deal with their initial high press), was our downfall imo.

Could be wrong but I don't remember them carving us up in midfield or continually getting behind our defensive lines, or seeing our goal getting peppered. In fact, just as we were getting back into the game early in the 2nd half we were McFadzed and that was that. All a long winded way of saying that we were the architects of our doom not Rotherham. If we had played like that against any team in the division that day the result would have been the same. I'm less worried about Rotherham than I was Oxford, MK, Donny and Blackpool (first 40 mins).

Can't believe we're in a mindset where we can contemplate getting the next 9 points as a strong possibility. Robins and his staff deserve all the credit for making Coventry City a great team to watch and support.

Having seen us for too many years and still loving it despite disappointments, I’ll believe when we are mathematically guaranteed a top two spot and not until then

If we can win the supposed easier points in the next few matches then those tougher teams have to come to take 3 points from us with us being above them which is an advantage to us.
I find that we are quite poor at trying to break down teams that just want a point from us, we were ok yesterday as Rovers wanted more than just a point at home.

Beating Southend and bolton take a bit of pressure of the 'big games'. We could draw against all the top sides remaining and we'd be fine so long as we put away the average sides. Can't wait for Tuesday but hoping he gives our key players a wel earned rest

We'll be fine against Bolton I think, I don't think they can afford to play for draws any more at this point in the season given their 17 point gap from safety.

Can someone tell me how many times we have come from behind this season (and I’m not talking about me & my missus)!
We seem to have developed a real steel.
