I agree with you! But I don't know what they consider how much rent they want off CCFC, is it currently about £1.2 million a year? Or would they be trying to get CCFC rent to be able to cover the current operating loss of the Stadium. If it gets too high then DK would have to think of alternatives
I would imagine Frasers have been keeping a close eye on our current ST sales & attendance in general, surely be looking to increase rent in-line with our own increased revenue.

How many ST’s were we shifting when the current rent agreement was signed ?

I mean this is pretty ridiculous posturing on King's part that he'd be best advised to step back from, unless he really does have a serious wad of investment lined up to actually build a 40k stadium elsewhere in the city.

Dare I say it's not a very 'grown up' way of doing things.
He’s written to the council making basic enquiries. It’s not like he’s threatening to go on a rent strike and leave the ground.

given we can’t expand the CBS and we’ve only got a tenancy of 3 years remaining he’d be silly not to make initial investigations.

Of course it makes cash for the stadium 🤣
How so? When you knock off lost revenue for when we play there, then the cost of upkeep so we can play and then deduct the share of revenues we take there will be nothing left of note.

Why would we need to expand the CBS?

I’d imagine the sponsorship for the facility is brought in by the existence of the football club

We’re currently on course to sell out most games. If we get promoted then it will sell out every week.

How are we on course to sell out most of our games?
And if we get promoted yes, we'll sell out every week, but it may only last a season.

Talk of needing a bigger ground is extremely premature.
And even if we needed one, I doubt building a new ground is remotely viable.

Why can't it be expanded, other teams seem to do it in a lot tighter spaces than ours and surrounded by houses

Probably goes along with the original selling a block at a time?

It will be selling out a lot this season.

It seems like we pay for a lot of the upkeep as well.

How much revenue are they losing when we have home games and they get 25k people trying to buy food and beer off them?

It's a total non starter to suggest building it at the site suggested.

Don't forget there must be a tax for sole use?

We’ll well be roughly at 27,000 every game for a start that’s before you sell corporate and the remaining general sale which the majority of the time we will be close to.

but again that’s something to enquire about in a plan for say 10 years. Would be madness not to have a plan.

In terms of getting a new one we’re back to the question of “what if Frasers terms aren’t viable?” What happens then? Ultimately Doug needs options. This is an option albeit highly unlikely. We can’t keep being held to ransom on our home
It's a total non starter to suggest building it at the site suggested.
and that was the response to Doug - as I said it’s basic enquiries about what he can and can’t do. He’s asked the question - he’s been told no. He goes back to the drawing board

this scenario is going to crop up every 5-10 years unless we get control of a stadium. Whether that’s a new ground or buying from Ashley

I fear that Ashley will refuse to give us an extension and try and buy the club for a song in 2028 when we face being homeless again. I wouldn't put it past him ☹️

How many journalists do we have covering us full time?

Which topics do you think get the most clicks on the CWR and CT websites? I'd imagine CCFC rank highest most weeks.

My point is that other than a couple of local outlets we don’t garner a great deal of media coverage at all. I don’t see a single national outlet with a new story on us today, for example.

Has there been any on AFC Bournemouth today?

There aren’t any but don’t worry grendel says we shouldn’t be interested in what’s going on

We are clearly interested but we are not shareholders in the company.

Unlike Seppala he clearly has some business acumen if you like him or not. Her only skill was lying through her back teeth and turning people against each other. She wasn’t an especially impressive person and I always found it slightly alarming you were taken in by her.

He has been handed a tough deal following the train wreck she left behind and has certainly exceeded my expectations. We used to have imbeciles like Boddy who was just an embarrassment. It’s far more professional and I don’t need to know what hes trying to do as I trust he will be doing something to try and maximise the clubs opportunity. Not like losers such as Seppala and Boddy

There will be no new stadium. Not a chance, it makes no sense at all. Its all just posturing and business people trying to get the best deal for the future. The CBS has been improved no end and is our home now. A new stadium would cost millions. Now whilst we are beholden to Frasers they are beholden to City in reality. Both operations need each other.

How much profit do you think the stadium makes when we're not playing?

How about the upkeep needed? King has been investing in the stadium. Is that our job or should it be the stadium owner? Is Ashley expecting us to keep paying for upgrades on a stadium we don't own plus wants a big rent increase?

As usual we don't know many details. We don't even know who leaked it and why. But we do have experts on here that have already made their minds up.

We pay rent, we seemingly pay for most of the maintenance, we are responsible for the pitch etc. The things we aren't responsible for / won't pay for haven't had a penny spent on them, like the PA for example.

On top of the rent they get the F&B, car parking, naming rights, stadium tours (nobody is going on those if it's not a football stadium). 23+ event days a year when we give them in the region of 30K visitors. If they're losing money or barely breaking even on that they're doing something wrong.

We pay a small rent. We take a % of food and beverages. We get ticket sales. The upkeep is Frasers. They can’t do anything with it for 30-40 days when we play. All of the statutory upkeep is theirs. Tours? That will be an absolute pittance in the scheme of things. I’m not saying it’s an issue. But not owning and renting is exactly the deal we should stick with.

So how much rent do we presently pay and how much is Ashley wanting to put it up to?

Not sure you can say we’re stopping them putting events on. Not like there’s hundreds of events on non match days or over the summer.

And it doesn’t stop them using the hall as we’ve had plenty of match days when there’s events on in the hall.

Haven't we literally just paid for the turnstiles? And I'm pretty sure we paid for the pitch re-lay too.
