Still under contract to Puma

Contract was extended to Summer 2015 back in March 2010. Unless we've signed a further extension which hasn't been reported anywhere we're not under contract to Puma anymore. Suspect the away kit being advertised as two seasons is the usual disorganisation at the club.

My guess is the white one will become the 3rd kit and there will be a new away one.

Or maybe they'll just renew with Puma and still use the kit

Absolutely.....It's the blokes in the kit that really matter.

I personally aren't that bothered as long as it's ready for the first game of the season. Admittedly it doesn't look great though. Plenty like to wear the new kit whilst on their Summer holidays. It was confirmed at the last SCG meeting it would be through a different supplier to Puma.

It's only the start of June, plenty of time to get them for the Summer.

My problem is that they bang on about revenue and then can't get the kit out in decent time to raise the revenue as soon the shirts are out I will get 1 each for my kids but won't bother if they come out after the summer

It's not that unusual for us not to get them on sale for the summer is it? Back when I was young enough and thin enough to not look like a twat wearing one I seem to remember it often wasn't until after the season started you could buy them.

Did they mention what would happen with the away kit? I don't see how we can sign a new deal and still wear a Puma away kit.

They are missing a trick here though, people are waiting to buy this kit, all extra £££ for the transfer kitty.

if stock lasts if recent performances are anything to go by they will bring in 200 shirts for fans to fight over and then claim a new batch is on order for the next 10 months

The annoying thing is the club announced there would be news on the new kit 3 weeks ago, why not just keep quiet until they have the new kit ready to go?

I do not care about a new kit, rather we had a decent team and they played in some old kit.

I care about a new kit as it leads to more sales and more money for TM to spend on new players in order to get a decent team, the quicker the shirt is out the more money we have to spend......kit may even have a knock on effect of people in the club shop buying shirts/ merchandise/tickets/ season tickets!

what do people expect ?

this is the crowd who couldnt order blank kits, so we had to put tape of the kit recently as the sponsor had left us and to make sure it didn't show through !

The sale of a few 100 shirts will not buy a new player.

Makes them look daft.

Although communication from the club is improving (the huge guide to 2015/16 ST's is impressive and covers pretty much everything)

I think it was the CT who ran it as a 'big' story. Can't remember anything on the club site.

I suppose it comes from the club answer fans kit questions on Twitter. I'm not going to criticise them for that- I guess it's a choice of give a vague answer of 'shortly' or ignore and I think it's good we answer questions. Not many clubs or account do (when I ask them anyway)

Same here (I'm 39). I think it looks great during games when a stadium full of fans in shirts, adds to the occasion and atmosphere.

And I suppose that we shouldn't have scarves unless it is cold. I suppose you would be happy if there was no sky blue to be seen in our crowds. It isn't about looking trendy or cool. It is about showing your support. Next you will be telling me that all of those not wearing our colours are better dressed than those that do.

Just my opinion. Anyone who wants to spend their hard earned dosh on one fair enough.
I don't think they are necessary, there is always swathes of sky blue up there as far as the eye can see

I think he's referring to the seats. I don't buy new ones myself. From going to games broad this season it does look impressive to see a ground full of colours. Shame it's not the case here.

Its always good to see a crowd full of the teams colours. Though you don't *have* to buy a replica shirt to wear Sky Blue....the colour is not exclusive to a football shirt.

The only ones I've bought for years were the retro one and the FA Cup replica Puma did. Figured they would last more than a year. To be honest they're mostly sat in a drawer, they might come out for the one game a season when the suns out!

Never buy one, but that probably because the XXXL always sell out or get stolen.
