Well yes exactly. Only one i can see who went for anything near £15m, who didn't have premier league experience is Matt Cash.

Thats why I said that 8 figures was extremely unlikely, and £6m or so was much more believable.
Djed Spence is one - about £20m I think. He did help a team achieve promotion so that probably upped his fee

If it’s true I can’t see how the fee is woeful

We place ridiculous assumed values on our players

It's definitely not woeful.

But £3.5m reportedly on the initial fee, SC Heerenveen sell on will be at least 10%, possibly more, and his wages throughout his time here means there's not really a great deal of profit upon initial purchase.

Then again, if we're receiving all of the fee up front then it allows for immediate access to funds for squad reinvestment or to cover operational expenses.

And this is the model, and sometimes we'll get it wrong.
Though I'm confident KKH will be a good signing but we'll see.
The little I have seen of KKH he has pace and he actually looks to try and beat the opposition full back and whip a cross in and obviously he took his goal well. I always thought Milan wasn't actually great at defending but his pace usually made him look better than he was but he seemed a great character and popular with the other players so if he does go good luck to him but it seems a little strange if we only make a small profit on him!

I would’ve put the mark at closer to £8m, but this is probably a classic case of someone (or thing) only being worth what someone’s prepared to pay.

If you’re looking at the modern game, a return of 4 goals and 9 assists in 100 games for a right-back isn’t headline grabbing.

I’ll miss the fella but KKH is a tidy player and if it creates opportunity to invest elsewhere then so be it.

All the press is saying is that 'the player' has reached an agreement i.e his agent.. means fuck all until Doug and Frank agree it.

Yes that does seem a bit odd, surely the Club's agree the fee first.

6.5 M plus possible add ins is bang on. It’s a healthy profit. Unfortunately, being popular and engaging with the crowd at the end doesn’t add any value. Defensively he was just above average. KKH is a better player.

Shows how overinflated some fans views are of what players are worth.
I'm quite surprised so many are happy with the fee when in today's market this really is nothing and he's a stand out player in one of the best leagues outside of Europe's big 5. Middlesbrough got £20 million for fecking Latte Lath

How many full backs go for more?

right backs don’t win you titles but strikers do.

If it is this rumoured 6.5 million, I anticipate it’s being accepted because it’s instantly about to be spent on new incomings?

different position though. Full backs don't go for as much as strikers, it's as simple as that

Oh I agree, but this is the age of absurd transfer fees irrespective of position, particularly when English clubs are involved. I'm just quite surprised it isn't a bit higher.

All we've had is hearsay so far. Even those who have mentioned or have been told an amount might not have been given the right information. But yes expected at least 8m myself
