Some mental bed wetting going on - not enough money, fire sale, kings a fraud etc etc
Does it give you a semi thinking about pissy sheets or something?

Just can’t get enough of opening a thread and thinking about them. Got to get a post it to really scratch the itch.

Transfermarkt, while not being the greatest source, have his value down at €10m. I don’t think that’s an unreasonable figure.

We may take less if we’re looking to use funds for incomings but it will never be as low as £6m

My guess would be £8m with add-ons.

I would've thought this would be the rough figure as well.

I'd imagine the only scenario where we take less if the fee wasn't paid in instalments and they agreed to pay it entirely up front.

No, you took GIMOC's post at face value and indicated the sale was indicative of cash flow issues - which there's absolutely zero evidence of.
I said, I expected the fee to be around £6m, and suggested that at this stage we would be more interested in the cash we would recoup, rather than being focussed on profit, considering we have just signed a RB.

If he does go for around the £6m fee, what other reason is there?

Our asking price is £8m. Apparently Besiktas offered just under £6m a few weeks back if true,

I've just given one.

See above.

I suspect the package will be around £8m hopefully with add-ons on top.

Hypothetically if the agreed fee was £6m, then dependent on what the deal looks like I would hope the majority would be paid up front or would be inclusive of significant add-ons / sell-on.

Yep fee does suggest we needed to sell this window and was always the plan, and the interest we expected in him wasn't there.

Again it doesn't suggest that, if it's even true.

I didn't actually see Saddle's post at the time, but it suggests that as I suspected a lesser fee would only be agreed to if Wolfsberg were willing to pay the transfer in full.

The rumoured £15 million requested was pie in the sky, I would have thought we wanted £10+ but if true then £6.5 is absolutely at the bottom end of what we would have wanted surely. I wonder if the rumours £5.5 bid for Rushworth was this money being used? We won know for a while but yes its low.... Might it also suggest we need to also sell Wright this summer?

We weren’t going to go two seasons without selling someone and with Haji injured and no one biting on Sheaf where else was money going to come from?

Tbf, i'll take Saddle with a pinch of salt these days, sorry Saddle mate, but i guess the market for a Championship full back, even a good one, isn't quite where we thought it was at.
I doubt we needed to sell but with Kesler here it makes little sense keeping him when we can use the funds for other areas of the pitch. If the rumoured fee it what was said then that's genuinely all anyone was ever willing to go to. I've been impressed with the 'outs' in terms of price since King came in so the market has clearly decided we, the fans off ccfc, were wrong on his value.
Let's hope Kesler can be as good or even better, I think he's a very good signing.

How many championship full backs go for over this?

I'm surprised there hasn't been more interest in Rudoni so far tbh.
Was expecting we'd always lose at least one of Van Ewijk, Rudoni or Wright this window

Think there’s time to see if Rudoni has another season like the second half of last and let his contract run down a bit before we see proper interest.

I suspect that there have probably been enquiries made but they were met with a ridiculously high price tag - and rightly so.

Im told its done but the fee is woeful

6.5 million up front, 15% sell on

Terrible business let's be honest

If it’s true I can’t see how the fee is woeful

We place ridiculous assumed values on our players

Well yes exactly. Only one i can see who went for anything near £15m, who didn't have premier league experience is Matt Cash.

Thats why I said that 8 figures was extremely unlikely, and £6m or so was much more believable.
