Unfortunately some of you need a wake up call that he was never that good. He wouldn't still be here if he was. We can argue all day about how we should have cashed in previously, but the demand simply wasn't there for him either, so it is a pointless discussion.
It must be very hard for him, and it is a shame he will be out, because competition for the team is good, but the reality is that he's currently holding us back. Down to, at best, fourth choice, and a very poor decision for the captain's armband, as well as being extremely injury prone.
No serious fan is taking delight in his injury, so this coping mechanism can get in the bin. The only good news is that Eccles will be back soon, and it looks like we'll need him even more now.
